Product Description
As you know, we are science experts. We have never placed much faith in the mystical babblings of so-called 'telepaths'. Hard fact and empirical evidence are what we need - and this clever device gives you an awful lot of both. Quite simply, 20Q is a wonder of modern science. Using the latest AI technology it is a handheld game that guesses what you're thinking - usually in less than 20 questions (making it a great deal cleverer than some people). But it doesn't do it using basic guesswork or what others might call 'magic'; no, it is powered by the latest in AI (artificial intelligence) technology. Here's how it works:In the best traditions of the classic 'yes/no' parlor game, 20Q asks a series of questions and then, using the AI technology, guesses the object that the player is thinking of. It does this through a neural network of neron-like nodes, mirroring the structure of a simple human brain - no, I'm not referring to you. Please don't be touchy.

Clever Stuff!! , 29 Dec 2008
At first, I didn't believe that 20Q could really read my mind. But after buying one for a gift (And testing it a few times) I decided it is just great! You can come back to it time and time again, and never get bored. You have to answer the questions it gives you to read your mind. There are 20 questions, hence the title, but if it fails to guess the first time, then it will ask 5 more questions, and guess again. It gets a majority of the goes correct.
Great little toy
Utterly addictive - let it surprise you!, 05 Dec 2008
I bought one of these as a novelty gift, thinking it would be little more than a stocking filler. Having had a sneaky go (the package exposes the buttons so you can try it out before opening it), I'm actually keeping it and buying a couple more for presents now! It's utterly addictive - I thought of some bizarre items I was CONVINCED would throw it, but it's just too clever. And you just want to keep trying it again and again to see if you can catch it out. It's a quirky little thing too, programmed with enough cheeky to be quite charming (but not too much!).
Hours of fun - give it a go!
Rubbish!, 09 Oct 2008
I was interested in buying this and saw one out for demonstration, so i thought i'd test it out before i bought it. Lucky i did! I thought of a racoon and began the game. It began promising, asking sensible questions, then went totally off the point. It never got it in 20 questions and only got it on the 25 question, which i felt was a bit of a cheat. I tried again with something simple, but this time, it never got it. I was glad when the words "you win" came up on the screen and it turned itself off, probably because it was embarrassed! At that point, i had to leave, which i felt glad to do, and was very glad i tried it before i bought it. Some of my friends, who were unable to try it, felt disapointed they couldn't and have since got rid of them. It's a good idea, pity about the actual product. It's cheaper (and a lot more fun) to play this game using real people than a computer which can't even guess the item you're thinking of is a pen.
Family fun for a short time, 28 Aug 2008
I got this for Christmas for the whole family to play with and it is fun and amazingly works most of the time unless you pick something really obscure. The only real problem with this is that it can grow old very quickly and within about ten minutes the 20Q will be collecting dust in the corner. Not so good if you have a short attention span.
Get outta my mind!, 28 Jul 2008
...says a bloke on the current 20Q TV advert. And yes, it appears for most of the time this little round gadget is reading my mind, as long as I'm thinking simple thoughts...
Okay, this little beastie tries to guess what someone is thinking about by asking a series of questions that can be answered by a simple yes/no/maybe. After 20 questions it tries to guess what you thought of with varying degrees of success. For example, think of cola and it might guess a can or a bottle; which to be honest isn't too far from the truth.
Personally, I think it's one of those "coffee table" objects; something that would sit on a table and maybe once in a while you'll try it out. Mind you, the expressions on people's faces when it guesses correctly is priceless!

Great product, shame about the quality, 02 Jan 2009
The Rubik's cube is one of the best and most enduring puzzles of all time. Unfortunately, the build quality of this particular version is not too great; the cube feels a little flimsy and the stickers are misaligned. However, it's hard not to recommend this product despite these issues.
Great fun, but rubbish quality. Not worth the 10 pounds, 28 Dec 2008
I have had several non-original Rubik's Cube over the years. Decided to buy an "original" Rubik's Cube as a Christmas treat. Wish I didn't waste my money. The quality is horrid. The stickers are peeling off after 2 days of careful use, and the whole thing is starting to feel loose. Total rip-off for the price.
Rubik's Cube...Its a Puzzle, 09 Dec 2008
One of today's modern day mysteries, a puzzle that has stood the test of time and has now been integrated into our modern pop culture, i refer of course to the Rubik's Cube. Created in 1980, the Rubik's Cube (Originally called The Magic Cube) is a straight forward, 3D puzzle. There are 6 sides, green, yellow, red , orange, white and blue, your goal is to make all 6 sides their complete corresponding colour. Once you have purchased your Cube you'll notice that the Cube is already solved on all 6 sides but now the time has come, you must scramble your cube. During most of the time after its release only 1/3 of the Earths population that had bought a Rubik's Cube had actually solved it. But for the other 2/3 their cube's remained unsolved.
This product is a great present for anyone who loves puzzles or for anyone who doesn't already own one. This particular one comes with a rather nice stand to show off your cube when its finished and a 7-step booklet on how to solve a Rubik's Cube so you won't have to peal off the stickers.
How much fun?: This toy is a lot of fun and can provide hours/months of enjoyment to anyone who is patient.
Educational Value: Though the Cube isn't that mathematical it certainly requires a lot of logic puzzle solving and requires you to think in order to solve it.
Durability: Its not the best quality Cube in the fact that the stickers do, with constant use, come off eventually and there are cubes you can get that with tiles not stickers. But still the stickers don't come off in days like people say they take years, and the cube doesn't just fall apart either.
Overall this is a great puzzle and, for me, years of entertainment at a very cheap price. Once you've solved this try the bigger and badder challenge in the Rubik's Cube family, The 4x4 Rubik's Revenge Cube.
ADDITIONAL: After you've solved the cube you probably will want to speed solve the Rubik's Cube in which case i suggest you do the following:
Turn the top layer of your cube at a 45 degree angle and pry out the center piece. Then pull out the subsequent other 2 pieces. Now get a jar of Vaseline and apply some to the gaps in the cube. Reassemble the cube and do this to the rest of the cube. Now twist all the cubes sides and you should now find your cube moves like a dream :).
Happy Solving!
Original entertainment. Not original product, 04 Dec 2008
The Rubik's cube has not failed to be a recurring feature of most households albeit it is well known to cause anger, frustration and despair. As a result of my discovery of an original '80s octagonal-based prism Rubik's cube lying around in my home, I decided to purchase an 'original' Rubik's cube at a local toy shop.
Whilst providing excellent levels of brain training this little toy broke after only two days of use (the blue centerpiece snapped off). It would seem therefore that the Rubik's brand have cocked up the design and left the core extremely vulnerable to damage.
A fun toy but whatever you do...don't drop it.
The classic mathematical puzzle of this planet., 28 Nov 2008
Rubik's Cube came out around 1980, about 30 years ago.
People were far more intelligent back then.
There is very little point anyone today bothering with a Rubik's Cube. Just forget it and get back to reality TV and txtng each other.
For people over 40: The physical mechanism of these 2000 era cubes is probably not as good as the old ones: at any rate, they are a little different. Obviously the platonic cube is unchanged.
There are now various idiotic cubes with flashing lights, etc - suitable for Today's People.

Bought one of these for an elderly neighbour, and as far as I know he hasn't even worn it yet. What's the point of that? The Mankini is a wholly ridiculous garment, and a massive disappointment overall.

Hilarious, 13 Nov 2008
Well my boyfriend (he's a hunk) wore one down the beach for a bet. It was hilarious! Everyone was laughing at him, pointing and staring - and believe me, it wasn't complimentary! He looked ridiculous, and I can't imagine anyone actually looking good in one of these. We have pinned them on the wall above the fireplace as a talking point now. It's the best use you can get out of them. Wear them for a laugh, but for heaven's sake, don't take it seriously!
It is nice!, 25 Sep 2008
Firstly, I cannot believe people have taken the time out to write reviews for the mankini, but as I stumbled across the page and happen to own one, I thought I'd add my own thoughts. There is not much else I can add to these fellows' comments, really!

With a great variety of words, some easy and some difficult, but most of all entertaining when your friends put their imagination and their intellect to the limit this game is sure to provide many hours of entertainment! Failing that you can always buy the 'expansion pack' of 500 cards with new words for each category.
A few problems worth mentioning are that some of the names in the 'people' category are so obscure that very few would know them or be able to break the words down, so we found that players would often get caught up on that category for a few turns if they were unlucky. It's also not recommended for children, however there is a version of this game that is designed for children.
Also, the thing in the middle was broken, the build-quality of this game could be a bit better for the money. There must be at least 4 people in order for this game to function in it's prime competitive state, and sometimes it's hard to motivate 4 people to participate at the same time.
Overall, great game, entertaining, could be made better but worth the money based on fun!
Good game but could be better, 28 Dec 2008
We got Articulate for Christmas 2008, and we have played it 3 times already with friends and family.
The rules are simple; describe as many words as you can in the time limit and move around the board towards the finish faster than the other teams. Each board square represents a different catergory to try and explain, and these can be really easy or very hard, which is a great balance for the game. This game is easy to play, fast paced, and a lot of fun. It gets everyone involved and excited and I would reccommend this game for any party.
Please note however, that after only playing this game three times, we are running low on fresh answers. Despite the giant box of cards, most of them are duplicates, and explaining the same thing over and over again takes the fun out of things a little bit. There are millions of words out there, so why there are so many duplicates is very frustrating.
Value for money poor. We already need the bumper pack!!
I also feel the game could have more variations, challenges or things to do. The control sections are good(when every team tries to guess) but the spinner in the middle of the board is relativly pointless, thus, this could be just as fun played without the board. The end is a little anti-climatic after so much excitment, which is a shame because with just a bit more invention, variation and not so many duplicate answers this game could be truly great.
Enjoyable but very short shelf life without a top-up pack, and frustratingly this could be so much better. 4 stars.
Fantastic, 30 Dec 2007
I first played Articulate at my aunt's house with my cousins, and it was so good that we had to buy one for ourselves! No family gathering is complete without a game of Ariculate! It is so much fun and always guaranteed to make you laugh! Buy it now!
Best board game ever, 13 Dec 2007
We bought this for christmas when the family come over but gave it a trial run with my cousin, aunt and mum today and there wasn't much silence in the house cause of all the laughter.
We really enjoyed it, just a great game that seems more entertaining the more people are involved.
If you could only own one board game, I'd choose this one, you shouldn't even hesitate buying it.
Brilliant fun!, 19 Jan 2007
This game is great fun. We played it on boxing day with the whole family (me 27, bouyfriend 38, his sister 40, her partner 38, her daughter 13, and my boyfriends mum and dad 57 & 60) and we had a brilliant time. The hardest thing is knowing who some of the people are but you could always pass if you didn't know but half of the fun is making up who you think it is for your team to guess! I would definitely recommend this game to anyone looking for a great way to entertain. It breaks down barriers and would be great at a party where people don't necessarily know each other well as well as great at an everyday party. Highly recommend!

Product Description
Twister is a very simple game that can become very complicated as the players can easily get tied up in knots. The mat that forms the playing surf ace is decorated with six circles each of red, yellow, green and blue. The mat is durable, waterproof with a wipe-clean surface but it can also be a little slippery so care must be taken. The spinner arrow is easy to assemble and to use. An appointed person spins the spinner and calls out instructions for the players to follow, such as: "left hand blue, right foot red". The players follow the directions, moving their hands and feet to the relevant circles and try not to fall over--a knee or an elbow on the ground and they're out. For young children the challenge is not only not to fall over but also to remember left from right and colour recognition. As well as the perfect ice-breaker for children's parties, Twister is also very popular with adults as the challenge to reach all the circles and remain upright becomes harder the less supple you are (or the more you've had to drink...) This is a game to suit all ages--children with adults, children with children or adults with adults. Whichever the combination the end result will be plenty of family fun. Six years up, two or more players. --Phillippa Reece

Rubik's Cube came out around 1980, about 30 years ago.
People were far more intelligent back then.
There is very little point anyone today bothering with a Rubik's Cube. Just forget it and get back to reality TV and txtng each other.

There are now various idiotic cubes with flashing lights, etc - suitable for Today's People.

Not good, 31 Aug 2008
I wore this item to go swimming at a private members gym I go to regularly. After some complaints my membership was suspended.

Shoddy quality, no lasting appeal, 29 Dec 2008
I remember this as being good fun as a kid. However, the latest version is of poor quality. The plastic of the playing area seems to be slightly stronger than cling film, the spinner was broken when it arrived and the whole thing just seems to sell based on nostalgia. I can't recommend this at all, buy Battleships if you want an old fashioned game, or Singstar for fun
Spectre at the feast..., 27 Nov 2008
...oh dear, what a misery I must be. I really don't like Twister. I don't want to play contortionist games with my children, so my heart sinks whenever Twister comes out of the cupboard. Our spinning board is slightly warped so the arrow ALWAYS finishes on the same direction - LH Yellow - which is fine on the rare occasions when I get to be the spinner because I just lie and make up my own fiendish directions, but it sure makes for a dull game in the hands of a 5 year old spinner - "Left hand, yellow, AGAIN, mum", she cries as my back spasms worsen and I sob softly, gazing at my rioja and "Heat!" sitting temptingly by the sofa. I'm sure so many others find this brilliant fun, but I can always find something funnier to do.
Classic, but tons of fun!, 15 Nov 2008
Classic game.....simple.....and tons of fun. A bit of fun for everyone! It's place is somewhere between video games and outdoor sports! Definitely recommended!
A timeless classic!, 25 Dec 2007
Twister is a game of physical skill, invented by Neil W. Rabens and Charles F. Foley in 1969.
The game includes a 167cm by 135cm plastic sheet covered with 6 blue, 6 green, 6 red and 6 yellow circles, which is layed on the floor. The game also includes a spinner, mounted onto a board that's divided into quarters. Each quater says either left foot, right foot, left hand, or right hand.
To play: After the spinner's been spun, a combination is called out {E.G. left foot - green} and players must move their hand or foot to that circle. Due to the limited number of coloured circles, players will often be required to put themselves in uncomfortable and unbalanced positions, which eventually results in someone's fall. No 2 players can share a circle (rules are different for more people) and the game is best played with socks being worn by all players.
Any amount of people can play Twister, but you always need someone to spin the spinner.
I gave Twister a 4 star durability rating because the spinner comes of the board a bit too easily and I gave it a 1 star educational rating, because the only thing you learn from it is how flexible you are!
Fun for all the family,
Utterly fabulous!
More Twister please by Hugo, 29 Apr 2007
My son aged five loves this game, I know that the age range is from 6 years on the actual box, but five is an ideal age to start trying it out.
It really gets small children to recognise colours and the shape of a circle without even thinking that they are learning something, you know what they say if they enjoy playing with something and it also teaches them something then it cann't be too bad a toy. (Cann't remember who said that, but from somewhere in my distant memory I can remember that being said when I was a child).
The game is quite robust even when five year old and 15 year old daughter and friends join in, it doesn't tear or rip and best of all it can be used outside in the summer, so instead of the children being couch potatoes, especially during the summer hols, get them outside with this, whilst you can have some peace inside without them!
The game can also be played with just two people, both of mine also play together and wear themselves out.
Great to take on a camping or caravanning holiday, small to pack but endless fun.
Good for adults too after a barbie, but not too much alchol though as could be a trip to casualty needed.
Glad I bought it as it did produce a good many laughs and gymnastics at the same time.
Quite a good priced game, if you think of the amount of times and people who can play it, without loosing lots of little pieces, great for a birthday present, as then when it comes to a quiet moment and prizes have run out, you know when younger ones want more and more prizes let them play this.
Have noticed that as of 5/5/07 when I was in Toysarus that they were doing a deal of buy any MB Game and get a free £12.99 Little Pets Tomagoche, or free football DVD (cann't remember exact title sorry) but well worth it as the Little Pets free gift is worth £12.99. I bought the Operation game for £9.99 and was amazed that my free gift was worth more than actual game I bought. (Could be worth putting away for present for someone for Birthday or Christmas).

Test Your Imagination and Vocabulary, 02 Jan 2009
We played this exciting little game over Christmas.
Top gear top trumps, 05 Dec 2007
I saw this item on Amazon and instantly jumped up with joy.
I've just ordered them and I cannot wait till I get them. I'm a huge fan of top trumps games as they are enjoyable and can be played with the whole family. I especially love motor top trumps.
This item would be a must have for all top gear fanatics like myself.
Un beatable combination, 30 Nov 2007
Not just Top Trumps but Top Gear as well - this is an ideal stocking filler or easy to carry amusement for a train / plane trip that will appeal instantly to fans of the TV show but is still fine for all to play
Fantastic Gift, 27 Nov 2007
A must for Top Gear fans....the nutter who reviewed and gave 1 star is quite simply clueless and has no idea what top trumps are all about...
WAKE UP CATMANDOO!!!!, 26 Nov 2007
I read the review from Catmandoo and to say I was not happy was a under statement. I do not believe that anybody who is walking today has not played or heard of Top Trumps. This game has been around for donkeys years why write a review and slag the product off when you apparantly know nothing about it. If you haven't played or heard of Top Trumps just ask any kids that live down your street they will put you right.
Why write a review when you don't know what you're writing it for?, 21 Nov 2007
I have to leap to the defence of Top Trumps after the reviewer who gave it 1 star has had their say. They have obviously got no idea what the game is all about and I consider it most unhelpful of them to then give the game a 1 star review. Top Trumps has largely been responsible for teaching my reluctant reader son how to read, and I'm sure there are many other children out there who are now engaging in reading thanks to these cards. The knowledge they impart about the topic they are covering is an added bonus too. My son (5) has enjoyed playing with his friends, dad (40) and grandpa (70), so I would also add that it's a game for all ages.
For those who aren't familiar with the game, split the pack between you and a friend(s), play the cards in order, choose your category and try and beat your oponents with your score. If you win take their card, if you lose you have to hand yours over until someone has won them all. Simple and fun.

Ridiculous, 18 Dec 2008
Bought one of these for an elderly neighbour, and as far as I know he hasn't even worn it yet. What's the point of that? The Mankini is a wholly ridiculous garment, and a massive disappointment overall.
