Product Description
Perfect for sleep-overs, camping, or encouraging reluctant sleepers that bed is a good place, the Thomas & Friends Ready Bed is a great way to make night times more fun. Consisting of a blow-up air bed fitted snugly into a fleecy sleeping bag, the bed features a colourful picture of Thomas. The Ready Bed can be pumped up quickly--an adult could have the bed up and ready within 10 minutes using the small foot pump included, or using an electric pump it takes just a couple of minutes.
The whole bed can be just as quickly deflated and folds down into a matching cylindrical nylon zip-up bag, also included. It is light and portable and will easily fit into a larger suitcase or kit bag. Although this isn't the strongest of bags, it is adequate for keeping the bed packed and for travelling.
The bed zips up along one side, and measures roughly L=155, W=67 & H=20cm, perfect for accommodating young children. It stores away using the minimum of space and as the sleeping bag and blow-up bed are detachable, the fleece bag is washable at 30 degrees. This is a great present and a useful all-round standby for unexpected sleep-overs or unannounced guests. --Lucie HydeThe quick and comfy sleepover solution! The ReadyBed is an inflatable sleeping bag that offers comfort, convenience and is easy to carry and store away! The ReadyBed is easy to inflate and even comes with it's own pump. The cover is removable and machine washable for your convenience. The ReadyBed also comes complete with it's own bag for convenient carriage wherever you go on your travels; Perfect for sleepovers, staying with relatives, using on holiday or having guests to stay!

Loved the Thomas Bed but...., 31 Oct 2007
I ordered the ready bed for my son who is 2 1/2 to use while we are staying at the grandparents as he loves Thomas.
We had great fun blowing it up and it looked lovely. The problems came once he got in it as we found he was already too big for it!
We both were very dissapointed it was not bigger as the decription said up to 4 years old. Having said that he is pretty much the same size as his 4 year old cousin but I always thought he was a bit small.
I have now got the junior size ready bed and that looks like it should last him a while.
The Thomas bed is great if you have small kids but if yours are bigger than average go for the Junior Ready Beds. A must for any parent!, 18 Jun 2007
My daughter loves her Thomas Ready Bed. She is quite tall so her travel cot soon became too small and restrictive. We bought this for her at 18 months old and she loves it. She is now 3 1/2 and we recently took her camping. We had bought her just an inflatable mattress and sleeping bag and she kept sliding off the mattress onto the ground. Fortunately I had also taken her Ready Bed so we put her in this instead. Because of the raised sides and the fact the sleeping bag part is attached to the mattress she stayed in it and was lovely warm.
We have family that live 200 miles away from us so this bed is used on a regular basis and I must say it washes very well and still looks brand new.
The pump is great fun as my daughter even pumps up her own Ready Bed and it is great for deflating too.
The carry bag is good too and it isn't difficult to pack away the bed and pump.
I would recommend this to any parent and the only negative thing about it is that my daughter doesn't want to get out of her bed! Thomas the Tank Engine ready bed, 26 Oct 2005
Great to take with you for your little one when staying overnight. My boy is 3 and sleeps well in this bed but He does need a pillow as the integral one is not big enough for him. Wouldn't say that this is a toy but the bouncy aspect is a novelty for a little while. It comes with a foot pump for inflating..I would recommend using an electric one if you have it..the foot one takes forever! Bed deflates to a small size and fits into its own carrying bag which is really handy. Great for occasional use!

For some reason one of our sons favourites is Toby. This is a great piece and i notice he plays with it a lot. Pity there is no windmill to go with one of the Toby stories (yes i know, like you no doubt...i too am forced to watch them). There is one thing to be aware. this is one of the heavier take along pieces, so if you child is prone to the odd mood to rocket launch toys, you would be advised to steer clear of this, its about double the weight of a normal take along train. the colouring, painting and moulding is spot on on realism.
Lovely little trains for taking on your travels!, 24 Jul 2008
My son has a large collection of the take along Thomas range. These little trains are perfect for taking out and about - they're a lovely size. Ours have lasted quite well considering the heavy play they get from 4 young kids. OK, so they may have a few little chips in them now, but nothing that would take any fun out of them - they just look more authentic!!! And they don't chip nearly as easily as the wooden range.
I would highly recommend these to anyone with Thomas mad kids!

Mostly good, a little bad, 20 Jan 2008
When I first got this, I was initially disappointed at the size. The picture doesn't really give you an idea, and I suppose I was thinking the train itself would be chunky and big. In fact, it's a fair size, but quite dinky. The loop, when setup, is about 12" across and the train is about 3" long.
This is quite entertaining for the kids. Mine got it when she was 9 months old, and she still plays with it, even if it's only for a few minutes at a time.
Praise first - great for teaching them to concentrate (getting the train on the track is difficult for a littl'un), VERY VERY durable (ours has been smashed apart a million times and it always clicks back together again), teaches them ON and OFF (as they get older you can teach them how to turn the train on an doff with button on the chimney), the love pulling it apart (the track parts "snap" together and apart - they are designed to do this and mine always loves it).
Cons next - the sound (ok, for the first 10 minutes it's great, then, when it gets left on and you can't find it under all the teddies, it drives you mad!! No auto off and only one volume level), it comes apart (now I know I said this was a good thing, which it is, but it almost comes apart too easily at times - it would have been nice to be able to lock it in some way, but I guess I'm asking too much for a £10 toy! You do end up continually putting it back together).
Overall I would recommend this - it's inexpensive and is quite a lot of fun, especially in early months/years when a proper wooden choo choo set might not spark off their imagination yet....
A bit limited, 02 Jul 2007
This is fun on one level but it is also a bit limiting. The train just goes back and forth. I know that's what it is supposed to do, but I find that my sons, 3 and 1 get bored once it has done a few back and forth trips.
My 1 yr old keeps trying to push the hamster wheel train contraption down as he doesn't like watching it and wants to "do " things with the train, and the 3 yr old takes it off the rails and then can't get it back on the track again and gets frustrated when it's in this circle.
If you have a child that enjoys watching rather than hands on playing then this is probably a good buy. But it does need adult intervention until maybe 4 yrs...
I was disappointed with this product and find that hand pushed trains work loads better, at least at these ages.
A great first train track for your child, 08 Nov 2005
We bought this for our son's 1st birthday and he already loves it! It does exactly what it says on the box and at £10 it's great value. You can put the track in a circle and it goes around the room like a hamster in a ball! Or if you put a 'stopper' (sorry don't know all the train jargon) on the track when the train bumps into it it goes into reverse. You can also twist round the tracks to make a wavy line and put a 'stopper' at each end. Then the train goes up and down the track. The train also goes along the ground when it's not on a track. It's really easy for a young child to use as to switch the train on and off you just have to press down the funnel. It's quite basic but nice and simple for ages 1-1 1/2y. A good introduction to train tracks at a good price. I'm really pleased with it.

Take Along Thomas & Friends - Jack, 19 Aug 2008
I thought it was worth mentioning the fact that jacks front bucket also features the smart magnet technology used in the Learning Curve Take Along Thomas toys.
This means Jack can effectively hitch up to the other toys in the range, or as my three year old discovered, pick up pennies or paper-clips with his bucket.

Take a ride with Thomas as he takes the children on a school trip This Leapfrog LeapPad Pre-School Discovery Book can be used from the age of 3 years and up. It will teach your child the following- Numbers and Counting Vocabulary Shapes and Colours Classification Matching Problem Solving Opposites It also has 20 games and 2 songs Ages 3 years and up Suitable for use with the My First LeapPad onlyProduced to be used with My First LeapPad, Thomas and the School Trip is an interactive story and activity book to reinforce first learning concepts and, above all, make learning fun. The bright illustrations replicate perfectly the Thomas we all know and love from books and the TV, and as youngsters turn each page they are presented with a new activity or a new page from a story. Using the "magic pen" on the First LeapPad, pre-schoolers are encouraged to match shapes, find opposites, identify colours and shapes, match pairs, identify patterns and much more, with Thomas and friends. When they get to the end of the book, they simply turn it around, and start to read the Thomas and the School Trip story, following it word for word, again with the pen. Sturdy, wipe-clean and visually appealing, the book is the perfect compliment for youngsters who have mastered the book included with the First LeapPad unit. It brings a fresh, innovative and interactive approach to learning traditional, basic skills with the help of a childhood favourite. Pre-schoolers (the book is aimed at children of three years and over) will love to help Percy at the dock, or hurry back with Thomas so he can pick up the children, and they won't even know they're learning. It's all great fun and a lovely way to get pre-readers interested in the written word. --Susan Naylor

Great for occasional use!
toby: excllent piece, 20 Aug 2008
Track for the metal trains, 12 Mar 2008
This is compatible with the take along thomas range of trains and playsets as it comes with adapter pieces which fit the larger track parts on some of the playsets.
I have the Sodor Mine and engine shed, using the adapters it all works well together.
Very good Thomas title, 18 Nov 2003
This is a very well put together interactive book. It covers a number of development areas such as counting, colours, shapes and even musical notes. The voice samples are in a British accent which I think is worth pointing out as some of the other interactive books are in an American accent.
Thomas and The School Trip, 11 Feb 2003
My daughter who is two received this book for christmas and has played with it everyday since! She has learnt her numbers(1-5), shapes, colours and can follow simple commands from the book. I would highly reccommend this book.

Product Description
The BRIO Adventure Tunnel is a fantastic accessory that will make the wooden train sets even more fun. Shaped and coloured like an Alpine tunnel, the sturdy plastic tunnel has a realistic stone-effect surface and flowers. Open at both ends under brick-effect arches, with BRIO track passing through it, the tunnel interlocks easily with other BRIO sets. But the real appeal of the tunnel only becomes apparent once the 2 x AA batteries required (not included) have been fitted in the safely concealed cavity underneath. (A screwdriver will be required to open and close this). Just push the button, or pass a BRIO train equipped with the necessary magnet through the tunnel, and one of four adventure sounds will bring the tunnel magically to life. A very loud "toot toot" may follow or the echoing sound of a train rushing through a tunnel, or even sounds of people at work inside. Beware, however, though the noises turn themselves off (the longest lasts for around 7-10 seconds) they are very loud. Children will love this feature for realistic play, but for less enthusiastic parents there is an "off" switch. The tunnel also has a flip-up bridge across its top for use with the BRIO people (sold separately). All in all, this adventure tunnel is a novel, lively toy that children really love. It certainly adds another dimension to the traditional train set format and will soon become a favourite addition to your little station master's kit. --Lucie Naylor

Kids love it, 31 Dec 2007
My girl is 3yrs old and got her Brio train set for Christmas together with Thomas and Molly. The highlight however is this tunnel! All the other kids that visit (as well as my girl) just love it. Can't see the educational value really - just great fun!
Brilliant tunnel, 06 May 2005
My son was given this for his first birthday, he is now 4 and has a 2 year old brother. It is constantly out with the rest of the Brio. It is great, it is tough, it is loud. A number of his friends now also have the tunnel! My only complaint is that it seems to go off at the key moment in the tv programme and drowns out all the sounds. Brio also have fantastic customer service. Three cheets for Brio!
BRIO quality with bells and whistles!, 21 Nov 2001
My son saw this at a friend and nagged me to get him one. I must admit that it's given his train set a new lease of life as he plays with it at least once a week. It's one of the best accessories I've bought. It's got lots of different sounds and makes the train set more fun to play with. I would have given it 5 stars, but I was surprised it was made in plastic and brio are famous for wooden toys. Even so, it's very good quality plastic and still looks new after 8 months! Good value.

Spencer the Silver Bullet is a very fancy, sleek and shiny express engine. The visiting Duke and Duchess brought him to the Island of Sodor as their private engine, and he can be sometimes a little boastful to the other trains.

It comes with a foot pump for inflating..I would recommend using an electric one if you have it..the foot one takes forever! Bed deflates to a small size and fits into its own carrying bag which is really handy. Great for occasional use!
toby: excllent piece, 20 Aug 2008
Track for the metal trains, 12 Mar 2008
This is compatible with the take along thomas range of trains and playsets as it comes with adapter pieces which fit the larger track parts on some of the playsets.
I have the Sodor Mine and engine shed, using the adapters it all works well together.

Good value.
Fantastic 'take along toy', 14 Mar 2008
I cannot rate these little trains high enough!! They are beautifully made and easy to fit together as they now have magnets on. They are durable and withstand plenty of throwing about by my two year old. He also has a wooden thomas track but much prefers his take-along-trains which he does always make sure he has at least one with on his travels!! I feel the toy helps hugely with his imaginative play he also knew all the trains names before his 2nd Birthday. He is slightly obsessed!!! Fab toy recommend to any little boy or girl who loves cars and trains. Well worth the money as will last for years to come.
