Just right size, 01 Oct 2007
My little boy has had these since he was one and were now on our second set.He loves colouring and drawing so these are perfect. When they came i thought they would be longer but in fact they are just the right size for little hands. And he loves it even more now he can tell me the colours of them.
Perfect for little people, 19 Jul 2007
These crayons are perfect for little people. I bought these crayons when my daughter was 12 months old and she loves them. She is now nearly 2 and she has not managed to break or snap any yet. They are lovely and chunky for little hands to grip. They have a great selection of colours.
We kept a few seperate in her changing bag, as they are a brilliant idea if you get stuck in a traffic jam, or to keep them amused in the highchair if you are eating out. These are a must have and travel everywhere with us!
My little girl loves these so much I have now bought her a new set.
The only drawback is that they do take a bit of elbow grease to remove from the telly, walls, furniture etc. But so far I have managed to remove any little accidents! I'm not sure that they would from wallpaper though, as luckily her accidents have been easy clean surfaces.
If you have dogs, make sure these stay off the floor or there could be tears. For some reason my dogs seem to love eating stray crayons.
Highly recommended, a really good investment that keeps them amused for hours!

Great fun, no mess., 28 Jan 2008
I bought this for my 2 year old girl as a Christmas present, to help with a long 11 hour flight. She really enjoyed this more than I thought she would.
No mess, entertaining fun!, 10 Aug 2007
These went down very well in our house. My son loves that Thomas "magically" appears when you draw on it.
They last well, and keep the kids amused for a good half hour.
My only problem is, the actual pen doesnt seem to last very well - the nib gets a bit horrible. Also, the pens could be a little bit longer so that they hold more water. I seem to spend a lot of time re-filling them!
Very pleased with this item though - excellent mess free play!
Great product ,,,, 09 Feb 2007
This is a great product and my 3 yr old just loves it ...I bought the 4 Winnie-the-Pooh ones as well ..and the 8 sheets keep him occupied for hours ...
Its very compact and best of all uses just a water pen. A water brush can be used instead of the pen as the pen is a tad too small and needs to be re-filled regularly...
In all great value for money ...
A fantastic Product, 31 Jan 2007
Our 2 year old got these for Christmas and he has spent hours and hours on them in the past month. He will colour them in and then go away for 1/2 an hour and do it all over again. It is great as he doesn't need to be supervised and each time is as exciting as the first. Some days he will use the water pens then other days he prefers to use a paint brush with water on it. We highly recommend this as a cheap toy.
great for travelling, 05 Oct 2006
We bought these and the winnie the pooh mini mats for our 2 year old before we went travelling and they were a great success. No mess, could pull them out anywhere, and reuse them within a short period of time. In fact we stopped using the water pen that comes with the set, instead using a normal paint brush dipped in water (easier for less coordinated little hands to spread a lot of water and bring the colours up faster) or just finger painting using any available glass of water. They were great for times we wanted to stop and have a coffee and occupy a little one for 10 minutes or so. Handy to pull out on planes too.

I have three daughters aged 10, 8 and 15 months and they all love this product it's the best christmas present I bought last year and the price was great too, it's good clean fun and the mat is durable it just washes and it looks brand new.

What an excellent invention...... This is fantastic.
No mess, and keeps the kids happy for hours. What more could you ask?
This is more fun than the original aquadraw too, as it has the stampers and the 'paintbrush' type thing too - plus, it's a pretty rainbow colour.
The mat doesnt last excellently well, and the nib of the pens goes a bit manky after a while but for the amount of use ours gets it was well worth the price.

Not So Durable, 15 Jan 2008
Absolute nightmare to keep clean, completely agree with the other 2 reviewers who have pointed out that it will be ruined if cant guarantee your toddler will no eat ANYTHING near it and will only use the pen on the mat.
Had it less than a month and its ruined had the same problem with the juice cup as the other reviewer pointed out once they know its water they will try in use their cups to make it all turn blue
Great fun - definitely recommend, 10 Jan 2008
Bought this for my 17month old son and he loves it, so does my 3 year old daughter, great for writing on for alphabet practice, also great fun for adults to share with children as there are 2 big chunky pens included (can also use the pens from the mini aquadraw kids). Very good value for money, I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else.
The most popular Christmas present of all...., 02 Jan 2008
We bought Tomy Aqua Draw Deluxe for our 18 month old daughter as a Christmas present and she adores it. Her 4 year old sister loves it too - especially the stencil kit. No mess, lots of fun and easy to transport.
With regards to some disgruntled purchasers who have tested the mats durability with sticky food and dirt (something my children haven't attempted yet) I would suggest new purchasers adhere to these messages for future reference as I will be doing.
Highly recommend this item!!
Great fun but a little too delicate for the average messy child, 10 Dec 2007
My children were delighted when they got this, it became their No.1 toy for a few days... that is until my two-year-old used it as a picnic rug. It took a split second to destroy it by tipping a bag of corn puffs onto the mat. I picked them up very quickly but as soon as they came in contact with the absorbant magic layer it was ruined. There are greasy spots all over it and I have tried everything including ill-advised harsh detergants. Countless cleaning attempts and 3 months later - although just about still usable - the nasty marks are still there and my three-year-old declairs "I can't play with it because it's dirty".
As mentioned by another reviewer the pens are great because they don't damage furnature, carpet or walls. BUT I agree that they pick up dirt very easily and transfer it straight onto the mat.
Wonderful inovation but needs a rethink. If you can't guarantee that all food, drink and sticky fingers will be kept under lock and key when this is in use don't buy it because it is a waste of money.
Ruined in a week, 04 Nov 2007
Seems like a great idea keeps them out of mischief for a while, until they get bored of drawing on mat and start drawing on other things it doesn't leave a mark on the other things but the nib of the pen then ends up dirty and when they go back to mat it seems to take in all the dirty off the nib leaving it impossible to get off, also once my daughter found out it was water that makes it work it ended up getting juice cup thrown on it, There Very hard to keep clean toddlers will think nothing of putting sticky hands on it or running over it, Nightmare to keep Clean
Over all its good fun for them, just make sure there not eating sweets or anything near it and don't have sticky hands and it might last the pace.

Product Description
The magnetic drawing board with the special screen to allow budding artists to draw clear, crisp pictures. The pictures magically disappear with one sweep of the eraser. Pen draws thick and thin lines. Includes four shape stampers.Children love to draw, and the Megasketcher from Tomy is a fun, clean and tidy variation on the traditional pencils and paper. The Megasketcher measures roughly 45 cm x 30 cm (18 in x 12 in), with the magnetised "screen" taking up most of the surface area. A magic "pen" (attached by a piece of string to avoid losing it under the sofa) allows children to draw, scribble and write, while the four magnetised stamps--a star, a heart, a car and a circle--add a different dimension to youngsters' designs. Once a composition is complete, or if one too many mistakes has been made, just drag the "eraser" button down its slide and, hey presto, it slides back up automatically, wiping out the redundant drawings. This kind of drawing aid has become a firm favourite, thanks mainly to its ability to be used over and over again, no matter how many mistakes are made. Not suitable for children under three years old due to safety restrictions, the Megasketcher is a fun, practical way of developing artistic awareness, creativity and fine and gross motor skills in children above that age. Perfect for long car journeys or rainy afternoons, this is a toy that will provide hours of play value--a must-have for every creative tot. --Lucie Naylor

withing weeks of getting it - and only played with by 2 fairly careful kids. But even so, it's been a brilliant buy.
Not as hard wearing as my 2 year old needs, 14 Nov 2007
I bought this for my 2 year old daughter's birthday and she loves it. It's just not hard wearing enough for her. She's got lumps and bumps and bubbles in the screen and the movement for the bar to pull down and clear the screen isn't smooth and easy to pull down,it's uneven and jerky and inefficient. I would have tried the Fisher Price doodle pro which works differently with little honeycombs too see if it works any better. Although she still plays with this I'm disappointed in the state of it after just one week.
Built to last, 30 Sep 2007
Solid, robust construction. Going well almost three years later. Educational toy - helping our daughter with her drawing and writing. No worries about drawing on walls with felt tips especially with a 2 year old brother.
They love it so much we had to buy another one for him.
Recommended for hours of fun and learning.
every child should have one of these, 01 Aug 2007
This sort of toy is absolutely superb. We have had one of these for years and it is STILL used almost every day by my boys aged 7 and 9....there are not many toys that last like this !Obviously great for encouraging handwriting but also great for playing games - look no further for the perfect toy.
Marvellous toy., 02 Jan 2004
This drawing board has provided hours of fun for our 7yr. old daughter who has downs syndrome. It is extremely durable and she takes it everywhere with her using it to communicate, to get people to draw on it for her& to amuse herself. Her dexterity has improved considerably and she just loves it. We now have it nine months and it is still going strong. Before we bought it we had other drawing boards which could not compete

Drawing without the walls, 26 Jan 2008
we have found this item very useful for our 14 month old daughter, but we only bought it at Xmas and already the colours arent as strong as they used to be, it has now become very patchy, and I am not very pleased.
Will be looking to seek a replacement.

I have three daughters aged 10, 8 and 15 months and they all love this product it's the best christmas present I bought last year and the price was great too, it's good clean fun and the mat is durable it just washes and it looks brand new.
Excellent!!, 31 Dec 2007
Over all its good fun for them, just make sure there not eating sweets or anything near it and don't have sticky hands and it might last the pace.
great fun - but the automatic eraser fell to bits..., 13 Mar 2008
withing weeks of getting it - and only played with by 2 fairly careful kids.
Before we bought it we had other drawing boards which could not compete
endless stickers everywhere..., 13 Mar 2008
great for all those little pictures the kids produce; and they can get on and play all by themselves. But beware, the refills aren't cheap and the kids aren't very economical with it if left to their own devices. Have had to throw away a few refills where the roll has snapped and haven't been able to reload it.

Leave it to Crayola to save the day!, 16 Oct 2007
Ah... Crayola... what will you think of next? This one's a winner for many reasons. The concept is brilliant in that the children can use markers (like they see their older siblings doing), but are not able to ruin the walls, sofa, etc. in the process. You use clear ink markers to color the book and the colors appear as you draw. The color is in the pen, not on the paper, so it does leave some creativity to your children in choosing what colors they want to use where. I took this with me on a recent plane trip as a "keep busy" toy... no marking up the plane seats and it kept the kids busy for a while. I do hope that Crayola expands on this product to include more books, as mentioned in a previous review. Great CLEAN fun!!!!
Brilliant - but we want more!, 12 Mar 2007
I bought this for my daughter when she was 4 and she loved it so much she never wanted it to end -so much so she allowed herself to do one picture a day to make it last longer!! Only very special friends were allowed to do it with her. My only gripe therefore is that Crayola has only done the one pad She has the plain paper pad too, but it is not the same. Still excellent play value and no mess!!
How clever is this?, 24 Apr 2006
I got one of these for my two year old because he doesn't always know where to scribble. So far the walls, sofa and dining room table have all suffered from the wrath of conventional colouring pens. But no more! This clever system lets him use these pens only on the paper supplied because they don't mark anything else - not even his hands or face. The other clever thing is that you can't go over the lines because the pens don't work on the paper outside of the line drawings. All in all this is the most ingenious art toy for youngsters that I have ever come accross.

Before we bought it we had other drawing boards which could not compete
endless stickers everywhere..., 13 Mar 2008
great for all those little pictures the kids produce; and they can get on and play all by themselves.
Good idea but not robust enough, 28 Mar 2008
My two children had one each of these last Christmas. The paper in both cartridges has torn and now I can't reroute it so either have to hide the sticker makers and then throw them or fork out for 2 new cartridges. Unless you are prepared to closely supervise the use of these I would be wary of buying. The Crayola creations stickermaker is better.
great toy but not durable , 02 Jan 2008
this is quite fun,, i enjoyed playing with it as much as my 6 yr old , but the inside got tangled over and over , and again with the refill, this needs to solved
this problem makes it fiddly, if it werent for this it would be very easy
Sticker Magic!!!!, 09 Mar 2006
I cannot stress how fantastic this toy is!! I bought it for my six year old daughter at Christmas and she has not stopped playing with it since. I come back to Amazon for the refill cartridges because I've found them difficult to find in my local shops. To make stickers is so easy, and you don't need scissors or glue to make this work - just put any picture into the machine and it comes out as a sticker straight away, just peel it off and it's ready. Great! I've even used it myself for labels around the house - it's so quick and easy to use that it has replaced Pritt-stick in my home! As for people writing in saying that it isn't very strong, what rubbish - ours has been used non-stop and we have no complaints!!
greatest sticker maker ever??, 22 Feb 2006
My 5 year old daughter was given this as a christmas present. While playing under supervision, the first cartridge snapped on making the fourth sticker. I then bought another refill... on making the seventh sticker it snapped!! I have had to order another refill, as my daughter loves it (when it is working).
Promised so much, 07 Jan 2006
My 3 year old daughter received this for Christmas, and as with the other reviewers, she loved it. Under supervision we got 10 or so stickers out, but when she played with it herself, one of the rolls snapped. We bought a refill, but a different roll snapped. The 20 minutes minutes of fun are not worth the 2 hours of tears, let alone the 25 minutes trying to find a parking space to buy the refill during the post Xmas sales.

Drawing without the walls, 26 Jan 2008
we have found this item very useful for our 14 month old daughter, but we only bought it at Xmas and already the colours arent as strong as they used to be, it has now become very patchy, and I am not very pleased.
Will be looking to seek a replacement.
Brill, 16 Jan 2008
I have three daughters aged 10, 8 and 15 months and they all love this product it's the best christmas present I bought last year and the price was great too, it's good clean fun and the mat is durable it just washes and it looks brand new.
Excellent!!, 31 Dec 2007
Over all its good fun for them, just make sure there not eating sweets or anything near it and don't have sticky hands and it might last the pace.
great fun - but the automatic eraser fell to bits..., 13 Mar 2008
withing weeks of getting it - and only played with by 2 fairly careful kids.
I would have tried the Fisher Price doodle pro which | | |
