Great game for 3 year olds, 12 Jun 2008
We were given this for my daughters third birthday. It is a great introduction to board games and rolling dice etc. There are 2 games - colours and shapes so educational and achievable for young ones. The basic concept is you add a spot or a shape depending on what is on the dice until you get a full dinosaur. We still play it on a very regular basis.

funky, fashionable & timeless, 18 Apr 2007
You can't beat well crafted wooden toys. They are a hit with both parents & children alike and this set of sturdy well made blocks is no different. Equally at home on the shelf where it makes a rather fetching ornamental statement and being slung all over the place by an excited three year old. This is the sort of toy that doesn't date & may well become a family heirloom handed down from generation to generation. Money well spent & a recommended toy.
Fantastic for your baby - stylish for your home!, 22 Jan 2004
Seeing this toy on Amazon it instantly stood out as bright, solid and different. I wasn't dissapointed when I received it via speedy Amazon marketplace seller Toytopia - a great and friendly service. The blocks are really well made with rounded edges - ideal for nibbling on with your first teeth. My son was 10 months old when we bought these for him - younger than suggested here - but I think these are fine for babies of all ages who can wave their arms! Not only are these very well made, but tehy look stylish stored on the living room shelves! Hey presto - no need to tidy toys away any more! Highly recommended for sound, touch and colour learning.
A beautiful gift!, 13 Feb 2003
I bought these blocks for my nephew's first birthday after searching for something without batteries and flashing lights. He (and his four year old sister) played with them for ages, and we all know the attention span of a one year old! The blocks have smooth edges, are 'drool-proof' and come stored in a wonderfully finished wooden frame. Mummy likes them on the windowsill too! Thumbs up!!

Dora the Explorer - Fantastic, 29 Nov 2004
My 4 year old daughter simply adores this game and can count to 10 in Spanish now. It hold her attention extremely well and provides her with a good variety of games with impressive and colourful graphics. One of the best features is the fact that it helps her out if she seems to be having difficulty finding something so she doesn't get frustrated. I was impressed with the educational content and the 3 different levels of difficulty. Realistically I think this software cartridge is best aimed children aged 4-6 as regards educational content although my older boys of 8 and 10 are equally enamoured with it and pester their sister for a turn! Overall an extremely good buy which offers value for money considering the hours of enjoyment it provides. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Play Value & Excellent Value for Money!, 26 Nov 2008
The WOW toys are a great invention. We first came across them in a garden centre about 5 years ago. We then discovered more in the range and have kept acquiring them. My daughter loves Katie's caravan as much as she did when she was 2 - she is now nearly 8!
My son's favourite is the new Combine Harvester and they both fight over the Ambulance on a regular basis! The toys don't need batteries. If you run them a lot on carpets, they do get dust behind the wheels and if you clear this out the friction push and go effect is restored.
Some of the toys can go in the bath - and all of the people are great for bathtime fun.
With encouragement and imagination - these toys can give hours of amusement and fun! We love them.
On holiday, we take a basket of these toys and they last both the 4 and 7 year old all week! Much easier than taking different toys for each child.
Unlike most of my children's toys, I will definitely be keeping the WOW range for future grandchildren!
Best birthday present!, 02 Nov 2008
My little girl was sent this by a relative for her 2nd birthday. It tuned oput to be her favourite present by miles. She loves it so much she takes it to bed with her! Lots of scope for imaginative play and storytelling with the characters and pieces provided. Very sturdy and well built.
A really great toy, 21 Oct 2008
WOW, why can't all toys be this good!
Whoever designed it did a great job! It's really well made (has been thrown across the floor on a few occasions and survived intact), the friction mechanism is amazing (it travels for miles) and, best of all, there are just so many parts to it, it keeps kids entertained for hours (20 month old, 4 & 6 year old all happily play with it). If there was a battle between this and Fisher Price Little People toys, this wins hands down.. I just wish I had come across Wow toys before.
fun, imaginative and no batteries needed!, 01 Oct 2008
My daughter received this for her second birthday and it is absolutely brilliant. It amazed me how much she used and developed her imagination with these toys. They are bright and engaging and are suitable for both girls and boys. She'll be getting a few more WOW toys for Christmas!
Lots of fun and durable. , 01 Apr 2008
WOW toys seem to make unusual toys that go down really well with both my 4 1/2 year old son and his 2 year old sister.
The camper van is a great size (a little over a foot in length) and is jam-packed with clever detailing. There are 3 opening doors: the perspex driver's windshield, the side of the van (which provides a seating area when opened) and the rear end (which is opened with a satisfyingly finger-sized button). Inside are sculpted sleeping and cooking areas, all brightly coloured.
There are a wealth of accessories for such a small toy. I won't list them here, you can see them for yourself in the product photo. My children are especially taken with the dog and his sleeping/eating accessories. Children generally find animals fascinating and WOW regularly add some animal element to their toys which fires children's narrative imagination far more than a simple transport toy alone could ever do.
Highly recommended for long-lasting entertainment value.

My little man loves this!, 16 Nov 2008
My son 20 month old son LOVES this. He easily manages the three piece puzzles and has for a few weeks now. His tutor (for developmental reasons as he was born at 23wks) thinks this is ideal for his progression and is really impressed. The puzzle its self was such good value for money as it comes out at least twice a day - once the puzzle is done - its a good focal point for conversation too.
Great for 2nd stage puzzle lovers, 13 Sep 2008
My son (nearly 2)loves these. They keeps him absorbed for half an hour or so at a time.

Good for eczema sufferers, 15 Nov 2008
My (nearly) 3 yr old suffers from eczema so we have to use bath emollient. The problem there is that all bath toys end up with a layer of gunk on that grows mold. This boat set has proved itself (a) great fun to play with and (b) easy to clean. I don't know what the decals were put on with but I've disinfected this boat in a bucket of Milton's sterilizing solution several times now and they are still as good as new. Happy mummy, happy 3 year old. Excellent toy.
Excellent bath toy, 24 Sep 2008
Bought this for my two year old sons birthday. He absolutely loves it. Really nice bath boat toy which is surprising unusual. He hates having to get out of the bath now!!
Excellent bath toy, 29 Jun 2008
I've spent ages looking for a decent bath toy. Bought this for my 3 year old boy. It's brilliant, so many features in one small toy. All works perfectly so none of those frustrated toddler grumbles we get with so many other toys.
A geat bath toy, really packs in the fun, 22 May 2008
I always wonder why there are so few bath toys on the market. Boats are a staple of the bath-time fun but this is probably the best one I've come across. The boat has two people, a dolphin, and a removable diving platform. The boat flips open to reveal a lower deck with a fishing area. The diving platform can sit in this, although my children usually have it on the side of the bath. The platform is great, you place on of the people on it, push a satisfying little button and the figure dives brilliantly. A lot of these sort of toys just don't live up to expectations (remember the "diving" man from the old Mousetrap game - did anyone ever get him to dive successfully?). The boat also doubles as a jug which pours water from a spout at the prow.
With the wealth of detail to explore it keeps my 2 year old entertained. The combination of characters and sticker pictures on the boat gives my 4 year old plenty of scope for his imagination to build narratives with.
A great long lasting toy. Highly recommended.

Fun and Educational, 19 Oct 2008
I bought this cartridge for my twin boys and because they are into spongebob they just love it. It comes to life on the screen just for them and they are learning soooo much.

4 kids and still going strong, 25 Oct 2007
My eldest son was 2 when his Godmother bought him Thomas. He literally shook with excitement and used it constantly for months. Two younger sisters learnt to walk with thomas and use the box under the seat to store their precious cuddly toys. My youngest will be handed the torch in a few months and I expect a similar reaction to a toy that has stood the test of time.
Bomb proof - but battery draining, 02 Oct 2006
We bought this for our eldest son 2 years ago and even with heavy indoor use it looks as good as ever. And now our 1 year old son is starting to toddle he's discovering that it can be used for something more than hiding toys under the flip lid seat :-) The only downside is that both of our little darlings are gadgeteers and love to press the button for the horn and the three batteries are drained inside 2 weeks. If you can get a squeezy press button version then I'd give it 5 stars, but if your only option (but I need the Thomas one!) is the battery version I'd seriously consider removing the batteries as soon as its out of the box and telling your little ones "it's broken / doesn't work / I don't think it's meant to do anything son".
Peep Peep, 03 Apr 2006
Further to the other reviews the manufacturers have changed the horn to a squeezy press one that doesn't require batteries. hurrah. My son loves it and stores all his take along Thomas' in the seat.Easy to put together and looks like it will withstand hours of heavy 'boys' play. Whoo whoo.
A lovely toy, 12 Sep 2005
This was a present we bought for my son's first birthday. It is one of the few toys he is still playing regularly with nearly a year later. The batteries do run out after a few months - but my son loves it just as much without the sound effects. He started by pushing it along, and now sits on it pushing himself up and down making his own train sound effects! An excellent toy - good value considering the hours of entertainment received from it.
Battery, Battery, Battery!, 21 Jun 2005
Where as 99.9% of toys tend to use standard 'AA' batteries, for some wierd reason this uses three watch batteries. When you consider that these batteries cost around £3.00 each and only last for about a week, it's a very expensive toy to maintain. Unless you're happy to be spending £20 a month on batteries, I would avoid this toy.

Fun and Educational, 19 Oct 2008
I bought this cartridge for my twin boys and because they are into spongebob they just love it. It comes to life on the screen just for them and they are learning soooo much.
Further to the other reviews the manufacturers have changed the horn to a squeezy press one that doesn't | | |
