Great litle thing for your kid, 25 Oct 2008
I bought this product 5 months ago for my daughter.. she is only 6 months now so I cant say how much she like it.. but me and my wife love this product.. music is good and projection is also very good.
I would recommend this product. Its definitely something that you will be happy to see in your kid's room.
Retro but cute...., 20 Apr 2008
I bought this for my ten week old baby girl whilst she was sleeping in her moses basket and couldn't have a cot mobile. It's very basic but very cute - it glows a subtle pink colour, has a lovely soothing lullaby that plays for 5 or 10 minutes and a teddy-bear light show that projects onto the ceiling. I turn it on as part of my daughters sleep routine and really works well.

busy mobile, 24 Jun 2007
The toys are bright and colourful. The music is not as good as it might be but i feel the mobile is busy and there are plenty of things to keep baby occupied
Looks better than it is, 03 Jun 2007
This item is huge! honastly!
I was going to put it on my sons crib, but couldn't get him in or out as it too up too much room, so I had to fix it onto the cot instead.
The characters are well made, and can be reused, which is a great idea.
The built in night light is a bit naff, it glows a sort of street lamp glow, and you can't see your childs beautiful face, which is a shame.
When it is switched onto turn the toys, it makes a sort of buzzing sound, and can be heard over the music, and seems to get cought and stop for a few seconds now and again.
Ahhh, the music...
Well, I thought that it was supposed to be relaxing? erm.. no! I find the the music is more sort of "upbeat" rather than relaxing.
There is one on there where it is "relaxing" water sounds, and a bird in the background, but I find it boring!
When my son grabs a toy, the thing starts to click, and doesn't like it (a bit like when you hold a rotating fan).
I thought this was quite pricey too. It's all in the "disney" name...

my baby loves it, 17 Dec 2008
My 2 month old baby loves the nice, calming melody, and she happily falls asleep while watching the images on the ceiling. Money well spent.
Rubbish!, 15 Nov 2008
I received this as a present for my son for his first Christmas when he was 4 months old.
I immediately had trouble strapping it to the cot as the plastic straps were just not up to the task of attaching to the sides of our cot. I worried about them coming undone and landing on my son in the night as the item is quite heavy.
Like most people have said on here, it's just too noisy to actually soothe your baby. I ended up using it as I was changing his nappy and getting him into his sleeping bag on his changing table rather than in his cot. He enjoyed the lightshow and the tunes like that, but I just didn't want to risk trying to leave it on the setting where you leave it switched on and a noise would start it as like others have said, the smallest noise from him or a cat in the room and it'd trigger it to start up. I'm sure it'd wake him up with a start.
Also, after less than 12 months of using it once a day (and despite checking the batteries) the light show 'disappeared' and all we would get is the tune.
Would NOT recommend this product at all!
Winnie The Pooh Moonlight Dreamshow, 13 Oct 2008
i got this for my little girl as she was having difficulty in sleeping and it has helped as it keeps her entertained and everything as we put her to the bottom of the cot and she wiggles her way up so she can mess with it but there is some dissapoint ments with this item and they are that it is too loud and the sensor is too sensitive and any noise can set it off (even my son can set it off even when he is down stairs playing and my partners snorring) so once my daughter is asleep we turn it off so it dose not start up and wake her up, but i think it is a good item as my daughter dose like it and it dose make her fall asleep but only by making her want to play and coo at it which dose make her sleeping due to reaching for the main box of it
thanks for your time and i hope this review helps in someway or another
Rubbish, 15 May 2008
It sounds great on paper - soothes your baby to sleep and should they awaken during the night, it is sound-activated and should soothe them back to sleep. But as the other reviewers have said, this was far too loud and the slightest noise reactivated it - it woke the baby up and us in the next room! Aside from this the projected image is unclear (had no idea what it was meant to be) Looking at the box gives you the false impression that all sorts of wonderful images are projected round the room...
Do yourselves a favour and buy the Tomy Starlight Dreamshow, we've been using it 6 months now and it still brings a smile to our babies face when we switch it on for bedtime.
I don't understand how Tomy got it so wrong with this one.
Loud - no volume control, 22 Apr 2008
My parents bought this for my son when he was about 6 months. He likes the lightshow and the Disney Winnie-the-Pooh theme it plays is actually quite nice but as many of the other reviewers have said, it is too loud. There is no volume control. The only setting is whether the music/lights time out after 5 or 10 min. There is no option to just have the lightshow without the sound. The unit is also voice activated so if your baby cries, that sets it off. We do use the unit but I've had to attach a lot of padding over the speaker to reduce the volume so the unit itself looks a bit odd with all the padding I've put on it. This at least makes it usable though.

I ordered the ready bed for my son who is 2 1/2 to use while we are staying at the grandparents as he loves Thomas.
We had great fun blowing it up and it looked lovely. The problems came once he got in it as we found he was already too big for it!
We both were very dissapointed it was not bigger as the decription said up to 4 years old. Having said that he is pretty much the same size as his 4 year old cousin but I always thought he was a bit small.
I have now got the junior size ready bed and that looks like it should last him a while.
The Thomas bed is great if you have small kids but if yours are bigger than average go for the Junior Ready Beds. A must for any parent!, 18 Jun 2007
My daughter loves her Thomas Ready Bed. She is quite tall so her travel cot soon became too small and restrictive. We bought this for her at 18 months old and she loves it. She is now 3 1/2 and we recently took her camping. We had bought her just an inflatable mattress and sleeping bag and she kept sliding off the mattress onto the ground. Fortunately I had also taken her Ready Bed so we put her in this instead. Because of the raised sides and the fact the sleeping bag part is attached to the mattress she stayed in it and was lovely warm.
We have family that live 200 miles away from us so this bed is used on a regular basis and I must say it washes very well and still looks brand new.
The pump is great fun as my daughter even pumps up her own Ready Bed and it is great for deflating too.
The carry bag is good too and it isn't difficult to pack away the bed and pump.
I would recommend this to any parent and the only negative thing about it is that my daughter doesn't want to get out of her bed! Thomas the Tank Engine ready bed, 26 Oct 2005
Great to take with you for your little one when staying overnight. My boy is 3 and sleeps well in this bed but He does need a pillow as the integral one is not big enough for him. Wouldn't say that this is a toy but the bouncy aspect is a novelty for a little while. It comes with a foot pump for inflating..I would recommend using an electric one if you have it..the foot one takes forever! Bed deflates to a small size and fits into its own carrying bag which is really handy. Great for occasional use!

Great Baby Monitor, 27 Aug 2008
We bought this baby monitor for use while staying with my parents. We went for something cheap but have been very impressed with the quality of sound and range of this one. Worked well even though we were downstairs and several rooms away. Baby unit needs to be plugged in but parent unit can be plugged in or used in battery mode. You need to buy 3 AA batteries for it though.
mostly works well, 19 Aug 2008
I've had this monitor for 2 years, and it has definitely done it's job. I have it on 'sound activated' when it's on. I would recommend buying one as for the low price you get a product that works. Two drawbacks;
- sometimes parent monitor doesn't 'connect' to baby one when switching on - meaning you have to retry the whole switching on process. (Some channels seem to work better than others on this problem). NB: On mine there is a slight crackle on parent monitor after they have connected so you can turn off then back on etc till you hear the crackle.
- Its a bit fiddly to take the batteries in and out so I tried leaving them in and reconnecting to the mains (to save batteries) but the batteries ran down anyway. (I didn't contact manufacturer about this so maybe they could have helped.)
Reliable monitor, glad I bought it, 14 May 2008
Bought this for when my nephew comes to stay. As far as features go, it's not particularly complex, but for £30 you get Tomy quality and a decent monitor. You have the ability to take your unit outside into the garden and the choice of four channels gives you more chance of finding one that is free of interference.
I like the fact that the monitor has two-way communication, so you can talk to your baby with soothing sounds or whatever. This is probably something that we can make use of in later years when my nephew can communicate with us.
There is an in-built scrambling device which has 65,000 combinations ensuring that the chances of anyone listening-in are quite remote!
There is an option to switch the parent unit to `sound activated' which will then only start to pick up sound beyond `background noise'.
You will need 3xAA batteries for the parent unit which Tomy estimate will last for about 8 hours. You can use the parent unit by plugging directly into the mains.

The music is not as good as it might be but i feel the mobile is busy and there are plenty of things to keep baby occupied Looks better than it is, 03 Jun 2007
Winnie The Pooh Moonlight Dreamshow, 13 Oct 2008
i got this for my little girl as she was having difficulty in sleeping and it has helped as it keeps her entertained and everything as we put her to the bottom of the cot and she wiggles her way up so she can mess with it but there is some dissapoint ments with this item and they are that it is too loud and the sensor is too sensitive and any noise can set it off (even my son can set it off even when he is down stairs playing and my partners snorring) so once my daughter is asleep we turn it off so it dose not start up and wake her up, but i think it is a good item as my daughter dose like it and it dose make her fall asleep but only by making her want to play and coo at it which dose make her sleeping due to reaching for the main box of it
thanks for your time and i hope this review helps in someway or another Rubbish, 15 May 2008
It sounds great on paper - soothes your baby to sleep and should they awaken during the night, it is sound-activated and should soothe them back to sleep.
Loved the Thomas Bed but...., 31 Oct 2007
I've had this monitor for 2 years, and it has definitely done it's job. I have it on 'sound activated' when it's on. I would recommend buying one as for the low price you get a product that works. Two drawbacks;
Lovely little positioner!, 23 Jun 2008
I use this in the cot for my very young baby. It gives piece of mind knowing they cant roll over in their big cot. It also looks really lovely and is very baby friendly with the cute animals! It has vents for air to flow and is size adjustable. Probably only suitable for small babies though because once they start to wriggle, they wriggle straight out of it!

a mid range product, 29 Dec 2008
If you are looking for a cheaper but effective baby monitor then this would probably be the best on offer. It has its pitfalls, but basically I think the monitor is a good deal for the price you pay. I have tested it in various locations - on holiday, at home, at parent's homes, etc, and it always worked. Through this I found a few gremlins, but at home it's always been dependable. I am not sure what it's cause was, but I found in other properties it would regularly reset and try to find the "mother ship" monitor, or would just sit bleeping like I was constantly placing the handset back in the charger. I've found the temperature gauge to be fairly accurate and the range of the monitor really good, while the light function is also handy for finding your way in darkened rooms, something you can control remotely from the handset. Beware, however, of switching off the mother ship before either turning down the handset or being ready with it - the static could just wake your baby!
I hate this baby monitor!!!!!!!!, 28 Dec 2008
We have been using this baby monitor for about 2 months and I have been tempted to throw it out of the upstairs window on several occasions. It looses the signal and has interference almost every half an hour even though we live in a small semi-detached house and the 2 units are almost never more than 20 feet apart ( far from the 300 meters promised). The baby and parent unit also have difficulty ' finding' each other when they are next to eachother!!!!!! So far the worst baby purchase we have made!
More troubles with this monitor, 07 Dec 2008
We bought this 9 months ago for our first child. Having done a sterling job for first 8 months, it has just started playing up. When i read the review by Antoine "AMS196" it was like reading what I would have written (had they not written it!). We have had identical problems (and we live in countryside, so no interference issues). also, the baby unit has taken to switching itself off.
I would not recommend this device - it seems to have a short life before it starts playing up. I agree that a move to a digital one is on the cards. Very disappointing for one of the more expensive monitors. be warned!
COULD BE A LOT BETTER!, 30 Dec 2007
WE HAVE AN OLD TOMY WALKABOUT DIGITAL THAT HAS JUST STARTED TO PLAY UP, WELL IT HAS BEEN IN CONSTANT USE FOR 5 YEARS, AND IT NEEDS A SQUEEZE TO CORRECT IT, WELL NOW WE HAVE OUR 3RD BABY WE DECIDED TO PURCHASE WHAT WE THOUGHT WOULD BE A MORE ADVANCED MODEL - NOT THE CASE. THE CONCEPT OF THE TALK BACK FACILITY WAS GREAT BUT THE CONSTANT INTERFERENCE ON IT WAS UNBEARABLE, WE CHANGED THE SETTINGS ON IT SO WE DIDNT HAVE IT ON SUCH A SENSITIVE SETTING BUT THEN THE TALKBACK FACILITY DIDNT PICK UP CLEARLY WHAT WAS BEING SAID. WE NEEDED IT ON SENSITIVE AS WE HAVE A 2 1/2 YEAR OLD WHO FALLS OUT OF BED AND OBVIOUSLY NEEDED TO HEAR THE BUMP! SO IN THE END WE'VE PLUGGED BACK IN THE OLD BOY AND JUST GIVE IT A SQUEEZE NOW AND AGAIN WHEN IT PLAYS UP, I'M VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH TOMY NOT PRODUCING A MORE ADVANCED MODEL. I HAVE NOW RETURNED THE NEW ONE, BUT WILL LOOK FOR A BETTER ONE AND READ REVIEWS ON IT BEFORE HAND!
Initially excellent but......, 28 Dec 2007
We have had this monitor for about 2 years now and for the first 6 months it was excellent, then suddenly we started experiencing random loud feedback and screeching sounds from the parent unit. Interestingly enough these only happen when it is out of it's cradle and not charging??? About a year ago the talk back button broke so we can't talk to my daughter and this last week there seems to be a problem with the charger.
This may all sound negative but on a whole we have been fairly happy with the monitor (once we figured out that replacing it on the charger stopped the feedback).
If asked would I buy it again?? The answer is considering the price I'd probably pay a little more and go for a digital one in preference but if it was on sale I probably would buy a new one.

I've had this monitor for 2 years, and it has definitely done it's job. I have it on 'sound activated' when it's on. I would recommend buying one as for the low price you get a product that works. Two drawbacks;

Amazon delivered the item after only 3 days via their free delivery. Typically good service from Amazon again.
Instructions were'nt the best but still had it on my son's single bed within 10 minutes. It does the job and fits our purpose.
Would have given it 5 stars if it were a bit taller and if it was a bit cheaper. All in all, very pleased.
tomy bed guard, 20 Oct 2007
I have this in pink for my daughter. It has kept her nicely in her bed for the last 2 years and now my sons cot is being turned into a cot bed im going to get him the blue one - so he can be like his big sis! My daughters bed is slatted and i havent had a problem with it fitting, i can remember it being frustrating to get it into place initially, but like i say, it has done a good job for the last 2 years...would recommend!!
Good product, not a totally accurate description, 15 Aug 2006
We bought this bed rail for my daughter's bed, and it is great. She has never fallen out of her bed, and the little mesh pocket is handy for keeping her drink of water and hanky in.
Luckily we wanted the rail for a normal-sized single divan bed. This rail is not suitable for slatted beds or double beds.
This bed rail does NOT fit double beds!, 30 May 2006
I bought this bedrail based on the first review where the customer advised that this would fit a double bed. Please be warned that it does not! The rail attaches by using curved poles which grip the edge of the mattress at the opposite side and the rails are not long enough to reach around a double mattress. It also states that it shouldn't be used on slatted beds which isn't clear from the description so all in all a waste of money!
Make sure you aren't buying this for a cot bed!, 26 Apr 2006
Bought this lovely bed rail and it is a good durable rail which is no doubt ideal under a full sized single bed or double bed. We had bought this to stop our little one falling out of his cot bed now that I have removed the rail on one side. The instructions clearly state that your mattress needs to be about 20cm deep and that it is not suitable for a cot which wasn't clear on the item description.
It basically works by your child's weight (and the mattress) holding it in place, so make sure they don't try to climb on it. The frame which is not attached or screwed into your cot, rests underneath the mattress and can be adjusted for different widths of mattress.
Basically - a good idea but wish it was fixed more firmly and fitted smaller beds.

Soft and cuddly, 29 Dec 2008
Ideal for any small tubby fan, easy to make Laa Laa say Ahh by a gentle cuddle and plays the theme tune when you squeeze her hand.
Fantastic saving on this item that comes well packaged !!.
The music is not as good as it might be but i feel the mobile is busy and there are plenty of things to keep baby occupied Looks better than it is, 03 Jun 2007
Winnie The Pooh Moonlight Dreamshow, 13 Oct 2008
i got this for my little girl as she was having difficulty in sleeping and it has helped as it keeps her entertained and everything as we put her to the bottom of the cot and she wiggles her way up so she can mess with it but there is some dissapoint ments with this item and they are that it is too loud and the sensor is too sensitive and any noise can set it off (even my son can set it off even when he is down stairs playing and my partners snorring) so once my daughter is asleep we turn it off so it dose not start up and wake her up, but i think it is a good item as my daughter dose like it and it dose make her fall asleep but only by making her want to play and coo at it which dose make her sleeping due to reaching for the main box of it
thanks for your time and i hope this review helps in someway or another Rubbish, 15 May 2008
It sounds great on paper - soothes your baby to sleep and should they awaken during the night, it is sound-activated and should soothe them back to sleep.
Loved the Thomas Bed but...., 31 Oct 2007
