Not good, 31 Aug 2008
I wore this item to go swimming at a private members gym I go to regularly. After some complaints my membership was suspended.
Good to Wear if You're into Bad Taste Items and/or Have a Fun Sense of Humour, 21 Aug 2008
I donned my Mankini and strode onto the golden sands of South Shields(!!) Not too many Germans about, but it still got me a lot of attention - teenage girls couldn't stop giggling and quite a few shouted out 'Borat!' However, I wasn't bothered - I was sponsored to wear it and raised money for a good cause.
It's now been consigned to the 'Garments worn once, but never again' bin: but that's more a reflection of my innate shyness than any statement on the quality of this garment. Wearing it was a lot of fun, but you've got to have a lot of balls (it helps!) and/or a thick hide to do so, otherwise you could feel REALLY self conscious. I can see groups of lads on holiday all wearing one and having a good laugh with it - there's always safety in numbers!
As I only wore it once I can't really comment on the durability, but it supported me OK (and there's a lot to support - I wish!!), even though I get the feeling it may be prone to 'saggage'. Of course, it looks absolutely ridiculous - but that's the whole point.
Overall, recommended for those with a larger than life sense of humour.

If you like showing off, can live with a little chaffing, and want to practice your German this is the product for you!
The Mankini, 30 Jul 2008
Size is crucial with the Mankini and as the first one I received was definitely too long I had to exchange it. This was no problem and I was delighted when I received my very own perfectly fitting lime green Mankini. It caused a sensation on the beach at Saltcoats I can tell you. It is a big hit with the ladies. They never stopped staring at me all day. I had a wonderful time, and though it came off once while swimming I managed to get it back on without anyone noticing.
There was a problem later however as someone stole my clothes and as the sun went down it got damn cold. I had to hitch a lift back home. Bloody awkward. No one would stop. Crowds of people gathered outside pubs as I walked by shivering. Lots of shouting and course comments. Eventually a car did stop. It was the police. they wanted an 'explanation". Well I ended up spending the night in the cells. Otherwise a thoroughly good buy.

Great fun!!, 27 Jun 2008
I'm known amongst my friends for being clumsy and generally unfit.
I can't play tennis for toffee and so I decided to get this to improve my hand/eye co-ordination and to also get a bit of a workout.
Easy to assemble and you can alter the height of the pole and the length of the twine to suit.
I've found it great on my own (the neightbours get value for money entertainment too) and when I played friends and family at the weekend I had an even better time.
Added bonus - my brother pointed out it's another way of aerating the lawn as it can get loose and need moving if you are playing a hard hitting game and/or have soft soil.
I love this and wonder how I got to 40 without having owned one before.
Highly recommended but watch out for the little ones!, 20 May 2008
This a wonderful outdoor toy that's easy to set up, good exercise, fun and improves hand-eye coordination. My only complaint - and it's a big one - is that it's a very dangerous toy for anyone under 5-6 (it does carry an age restriction on the box!) as the fast-swinging tennis ball easily hits unwary children's eyes and heads. Adult supervision a must.
summer fun, 28 Apr 2006
This is a great toy for all aspiring tennis players or just those of you who do not have a large enough garden to play tennis in. It's great to play with in the summer in the sun and will please all ages including parents. Best played with two people but you can practice on your own.

Good but lots of vibration, 15 Aug 2008
I bought this one for my 5 year old, but the wheels are very hard and there is a lot of vibration and noise, so she refused to ride it, but it doesn't bother her sister. Her sister also tends to over-steer and the front wheel sometimes jams. We also have the 3 wheel flashing scooter, and have had the wheels fall off. We do ride them to school most days though, and they don't get much maintenance, so probably my fault.
Great value!, 30 Jul 2008
I just got this for my 5 year old, and for him it is great. It is a good basic scooter and surprisingly well made for the price. Even I have had a go on it, is fab!
The foam on the handles could be a little firmer, I don't think it will last, but at this price, is a risk I can take.
Easy to fold and light weight to carry, yet surprisingly sturdy. Five stars from me!
do not buy!, 13 Mar 2008
this product has very loud plastic wheels(bronken within a week) very bad bearings, way too small and nowhere near the weight of what it says. my advice is YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR if something is too good to be true... it probably is.
zoom!!!, 21 Jan 2008
This is the second ozbozz nebulus scooter we have bought for our son(now9).
The first lastest a couple of years and was bullied a lot.great for jumps and skills.my son had more fun on this than his bike.
The only thing that was difficult was folding it down flat.
It was replaced when a nut broke. This was a great dissapointment to him!
This xmas he had a new one and i feel it is a little small in height. He leans over quite a lot to reach the handles, his size 6 feet only just fit the foot pad too.(BUT),this has not stopped him having fun!(i only wish i could find a higher one).never mind,it still keeps him happy. And it was not very expensive.(well worth the £ if your child is not too tall or has size 6 feet).
Nebulus Nectar Small foot plate, 16 Nov 2007
Bought this for my 11 year old son for xmas 06, he is now wearing an adult size 7 shoe & he can't get his foot on the plate, so am looking for a new longer one. When he did use it, it took all he could throw at it, i.e wheelies, jumping etc. The folding mechanism is very difficult.

fantastic stomp rocket, 31 Jul 2008
This was bought for my son last year for his 4th birthday, and it has been played with to almost distruction. i would recomend you take this to the park as it needs wide open spaces. whenever we take it to the park it always draws other children, all wanting to see how high they can stomp the rocket,my 9yr old now challenges himself to try and catch them. would recommend this if you want tied children at the end of the day, a must for the long summer holidays.
Have bought it again and again !, 28 Jul 2008
I bought this as a gift for a friends 6 year old son. My girls age 2 and 4 loved it so much I went out and got a set for ourselves. We now spend most weekends stomping rockets all over the place and getting the kids to chase them. My sister has arrived and seen the Rocket Stomper and has promptly gone out and bought a set for her girls aged 6 and 4 and another set for her friends kids aged 9 and 6. Great fun for all ages and definitely worth the money. TIP: Buy extra rockets !!
educational? maybe not... but what fun!, 17 Jun 2008
Ah, I love this toy! We have so much fun with it. And it's cheap! Only one teeny problem - make sure to angle the rocket launcher away from the neighbors' gardens!
Blast Off!, 29 Dec 2007
Every now and again, you'll see something that you just KNOW is a perfect present for someone. Such was the case with the Stomp Rocket and my 5yr old nephew. So I bought one and he loves it.
It's a simple concept that's well executed. Plastic pipe, plastic tripod , plastic hose and plastic air reservoir all connect together to make the launcher. Add a plastic rocket to the launch pipe, stomp and you're off. I was initially worried by the durability of all the plastic bits but so far it's stood up well to the trials of an enthusiastic 5yr old.
Even the grown-ups have a go, competing at hitting distant targets or seeing who can stomp the furthest.
Cheap and effective, it's a great toy for the park that kids (and more growns ups than might admit) will enjoy.
Infinity and beyond (oh well, not quite), 29 Aug 2007
My 2 have really enjoyed playing with this and have spent many an afternoon outside with it (I enjoyed less having to retrieve rockets off the roof, out of tree's, neighbour's gardens etc...). You 'stomp' on an airfilled bladder which shoots the rocket up quite some distance. The harder you stomp the higher it goes. The launch mechanism allows you to set the angle the rocket flys at. The rockets are very light (lightweight plastic cylinder with a rubbery nose) and so won't break regular windows but could hurt people or do damage to a greenhouse! After a while (several months of being left outdoors to be precise) the plastic rockets go a bit brittle and break easily.

Cheap but....., 06 Dec 2007
Just recieved this for my little girl for Xmas, what an amazing price, but you do get what you pay for! I think it should last until the summer anyway, which at that price will keep her quiet fot a bit :)
Great value-Brilliant present, 21 Sep 2007
Bought this for my tall 6 year old and it was perfect for her. Great value and she totally loved it. It was a replacement for a much more expensive scooter and I wish I'd bought this one first. Brilliant present.
Easy to fold scooter, 13 May 2007
I bought this for my six year old girl. Obviously it was an instant hit because it was pink! However it's also great because it is so easy to set up and fold away. The wheels are fairly large and overall this is a sturdy scooter. The adjustable features are also easily altered to suit. Definitely great value for money.
cheap as chips & just as good!, 26 Apr 2007
One of the better online toy purchases I've made. A huge success with my 6 year old daughter but definitely suited to a beginning "scooterist". Lightweight, easy to use and foldable.
Great fun and pink!!, 22 Mar 2007
I also bought this for my 5 year old and she loves it!! To start with - it's pink, also very lightweight and with the three adjustable heights it will suit slightly older children. It's a great price too where other scooters are more expensive and usually just silver.
Great buy for any little girl!!

Mankini multicultural magnet, 13 Aug 2008
Otherwise a thoroughly good buy.
mankini, 18 Apr 2008
I think that this toy is very good fun and I totaly agree with you mr william o mansfield it does get you lots of atention from the germans. I reallly enjoyed this product i give it an A*
Great fun!!, 27 Jun 2008
And it was not very expensive.(well worth the £ if your child is not too tall or has size 6 feet).

utter rubbish, 06 Aug 2008
the reviews are all true. This is an utter waster of money and time. It just doesn't work. It's one of the crappest things i've bought. The claims about the games you can play are nonsense. I find it very hard to believe the claim that this has been the fastest growing toy in Australia.

Large Phlat Ball, 16 Aug 2006
I brough Phlat Ball for Me and my family for this summer as its something different to play with, which all my family had so much fun with. You never know when its going to pop up.
I definitely recommend it.
Award for worst toy around?, 15 Jun 2006
This toy was a really bad choice for a present for my young son. It looks good in the adverts, but in real life it pops up again before you've had time to do anything with it. It may well do better if you wet it, but it isn't easy to get water in to the suction cup and the last thing you want to be doing when playing with it is keep trying to fix it to get it to work properly. My son gets really annoyed with it - a big dissapointment.
Is it a frisbee, is it a ball?, 05 Jun 2006
No it's rubbish! Watch the disappointment on your child's face as in mid-flight their frisbee suddenly changes into a punctured football and plummets to the ground. Repeat twice more just to check that you're doing it right then chuck it in the bin.

Mankini multicultural magnet, 13 Aug 2008
Otherwise a thoroughly good buy.
mankini, 18 Apr 2008
I think that this toy is very good fun and I totaly agree with you mr william o mansfield it does get you lots of atention from the germans. I reallly enjoyed this product i give it an A*
Great fun!!, 27 Jun 2008
Cheap but....., 06 Dec 2007
Just recieved this for my little girl for Xmas, what an amazing price, but you do get what you pay for! I think it should last until the summer anyway, which at that price will keep her quiet | | |
