Customer Reviews
Very fun and worth getting, 11 Jan 2008
I was very happy with this product as i didnt have a huge desire to get it in the first place, which was a very pleasant surprise when i realised how much fun they are ... The dino egg gets dropped into warm water and starts to fizz. It is quite fun and really strange the way the little plastic pieces are left in the bottom of the water container. It is good fun because you can mix and match the pieces and make a new breed. It is also good to look on the scoreboard on the back and see what type the dino is and you can get higher scores for rarer breeds. Very fun!
Great Fun, 05 Dec 2007
My two sons love these - they quickly get referred to as the smelly dinos as the pleasant soapy smell remains for months and months! Thy love swapping the heads and legs and making up their own names, although beware if you have two dino mad children if one gets one with higher points . . . . . ,
Dino fun, 08 May 2007
This is a great peice of educatonal fun. It's great watching the water fizz and the dinosaur emerge. The bits that you have to put together to make your dino are quite small, so I would recommend putting all the bits into a bowl and also giving them a rinse before building. My daughter is mad about dinosaurs and found a good dino site to find out lots of dino species and info [...]. A worthy gimmick for dino fans.
FIZZING FUN, 01 May 2007
These fizzy eggs are great fun for any child that's into Dinosaurs and are priced at a level that is affordable. We use them as rewards for our 7-year-old son. Just make sure you get all the bits together before you empty the bowl or pull the plug as the pieces are quite small and easily lost down the drain....that dinosaur ended up in the Dinosaur hospital !
Dino Magic Egg, 13 Jul 2006
My Dinosaur-mad daughter(6)loves these Dino Magic Eggs. Placed in a container with warm water, the egg will fizz and bubble over when placed in. We added red food colouring to the water too, to look like lava. The fun is also in joining the dinosaur pieces together and inter-changing the parts.

Making Perfume, 12 Aug 2008
I bought this product for my 10 yr old cousin for her Birthday. As soon as she opened the present she couldn't wait to start blending the different scents to make her own Perfume. I was concerened that there didn't seem very much in the kit, especially for the size of the box, however, several scents were made along with slime and pourri. Overall a fantastic product and educational.
small but interesting, 22 Jun 2008
I brough this as a present for my little sister. And naturally had to open it up and have a look.
You dont get all that much in the set. a syringe, tweezers, cotton wool, colouring, selection of scents, some sublime slime mix and gel popuri mix, and a selection of vials with stickers for labels.
Either way its a fantastic gift and fun to play with, just a shame it doesn't come with more ingrediants.

Product Description
Interplay Living World are the UKs top selling nature kits and Trip World is no exception, in fact it's their best-seller! To be honest, it's not for the squeamish, in fact, it's like one of those Victorian freak shows, you don't know whether to look away or stare in utter curiosity at the weird creature swimming in front of you. However, it is a great one for the kids. How often do they get to hatch a real living pet from the age of the dinosaurs? Just add water - sounds like a recipe, it is! Fabulous fun.

Either way its a fantastic gift and fun to play with, just a shame it doesn't come with more ingrediants. Poor Fatty, 22 Aug 2007
Its simple really, you get a packet of eggs that look like tobaco, and you pour half of them in some natural mineral water that should be inside the inclded bowl.
Wait 24 hours and half the eggs should have hatched, your told not to feed them for the next 48 hours as they will eath the eggs. When there first hatched its hard to see them but you can see little tiny white tails swimming around, and lots of them!
Soon after 48 hours they should now be clearly visable and you can now feed them with your food that was included.
One of them was huge and I decided to name him Fatty, unfortanatly even when there is enough food the Triops love to eat eachother, I remember after 5 days seeing Fatty nibbling one of my Triops, I did get quite a shock seeing as he always played with them, guessing he loved to play eat tag!
Soon they die however you still have half a pack of eggs left so you can enjoy the fun again.
I recomend this product and children would love it, my son absoultly loved them. A Tribute to Chompy, 08 Mar 2006
Is it possible to become emotionally attached to a kill-crazy cannibalistic worm that looks like a facehugger from the Alien movies and spends most of its time attempting to eat its siblings? Having recently shed a tear while burying my last one - Chompy - in the back garden, I'd say yes. These little beasties inspired fear and disgust in my girlfriend, but to me they were true friends. How could I forget the way Chompy used to play with his smaller brothers, chasing them around their tank for hours on end? Every couple of days, one of the brothers would vanish completely, and Chompy would do an extra-long poo to show how much he missed them. After about 30 days, Chompy disposed of the final, equally large brother - Ripley - by eating him from the tail up. I caught the two of them playing on the bottom of the tank - Chompy had Ripley's face in his mouth, and was munching away without a care in the world. The rest of Ripley was nowhere to be seen. Heartbroken, Chompy only lasted another week after that. For a while, he ate his fish pellets and bits of carrot as normal, but a triops is only half a triops without his playmates. Eventually Chompy turned green, and the end was nigh. Would I repeat the experience? Maybe, but next time I would have to steel myself for the inevitable tragic end. Triops might not live long, but they've got personality. And they eat Sea Monkeys for breakfast.
this is a realy fun and cool kit, 10 Dec 2005
This product realy works. The biggest one that I had was about one and a half inches. have fun!...

ant farm magic, 01 Jul 2007
I was given an ant farm when I was around 8 years old. That was in the 1950's!! It was THE BEST present I have ever had and it gave me so much fun watching the ants at work. I have NEVER FORGOTTEN it.
Now I am buying one for my granddaughter. Thankfully, this old fashioned amusement has not been digitalised or made to make noise.
Highly recommended as a gift. Also, see if you can buy a worm farm. It is along the same lines, excepting that worms move more slowly!

Hippie Paraphenalia, 07 Jan 2008
It doesn't look as naff as it does on these above pictures. But it is straight out of the 60's. It is pretty robust but requires a comical amount of batteries for the limited power it produces. Small spiders just don't weigh enough to be catchable. Biggies fall right into its jaws. It seems to be the most humane spider catcher on amazon as well. The reach perhaps is not enough for the real wusses. Anyway, surely its cheaper and easier just to use your hand or kill the bliter?!

And they eat Sea Monkeys for breakfast.

ant farm magic, 01 Jul 2007

Thy love swapping the heads and legs and making up their own names, although beware if you have two dino mad children if one gets one with higher points . . . . . , Dino fun, 08 May 2007
This is a great peice of educatonal fun.

At last - some for bug-hunting that works!, 07 Dec 2006
Ths is an excellent bit of kit - simple, robust and easy to use. None of the over-engineered delicate gadgetry that such kits usually comprise. And it all works! Nice to see some gear where the bugs that the kids find are the stars, not some colourful bits of of easily broken plastic. I'm a professional entomologist who does a lot of bug work with kids and I will be using this kit as the gold standard for Mums & Dads to get their kids interested. Well done indeed Nick!
Don't waste your money!, 11 Oct 2006
This "kit" is rubbish! Nick Baker is a fraud to support such an unimaginative, useless product. The kids were sorely disappointed when they opened the box to find everything we already had laying around the house. Nick Baker, shame on you.

This game is a true upgrade from the other risk version. You have 5 special cards (diplomat, nuclear, water, moon, land), and you can play on the moon and on the water. you have 5 diferent captains (diplomat, nuclear, water, moon, land). The strategy in this game is 10 times more complex and you have to win the game in only 5 turns. This five turns can take up to 6 hours. Best board game ever. Miguel Figueiredo
