We bought this baby monitor after being guided by the other reviews on Amazon. I'm pleased to report that we've been equally impressed!
I won't go into tons of detail - other than to say it does everything that you would need for a newborn, plus more. Don't worry about the more expensive 150 model - the extra gadgets are overkill. The 100 does everything you need, plus a few extra bits that you might never use (the tunes it plays are a nice touch - but never used in our house).
And, we live right under the Heathrow flight path and never had a single bit of interference!
Spend your money with confidence.

I thought this had happened to me then I discovered that (at least in my case) it is a feature. There is a mode where the unit can be set to only turn the speaker on when the sound goes above a preset level. In order to set this level. Press the button bottom left with the picture of an ear on it. Then quickly use the volume buttons to set a level. All the way up turns the "feature" off. It is very easy to accidentally turn this feature on!

Excellent for the Money, 25 Aug 2008
We borrowed some Summer baby monitors from a friend which only succeeded in driving myself and my wife mad because of the constant interference on the sound which interupted the TV let alone our sleep. These were swiftly consigned to the spare room wardrobe.
We decided that top quality sound would be our No.1 criteria for any baby monitors thereafter and these monitors deliver it perfectly. You can program the sound to a level of sensitivity of your choice and they are also very easy to use - so much so that my wife didn't need a demonstration. The only criticism is that the lullabies sound like something programmed from a ZX spectrum but this is a minor point. If you want to hear your baby with crystal clear sound buy these.
Built-in breakdown, 05 Aug 2008
We have bought two of these, and one of the earlier model. They all work brilliantly... until the sound stops working! With the earlier model this took around a year, but for the two new models it's happened within 4 months. The visual display continues to function, but the sound is intermittent at best, and mostly doesn't work at all. None of the monitors has been dropped or similar, so it's clearly a design fault at the heart of the machine. It's a shame because while they work these monitors are great - clear sound, no interference - but with a four-month lifespan they are certainly not worth the money.
BT 100 Digital baby monitor, 12 Jul 2008
Excellent. I was really pleased with the distance at which the monitors work, and how clearly you can hear what's going on at the other end. It has a talk facility, night light, can play tunes and you can put it on mute and if the noise level reaches the 'red' zone your receiver will bleep at you.
I have bought various other monitor and I wish I'd saved my money and bought these in the first place.

Product Description
A bounce and spin toy for babies 12 - 36 months! This fun and lively zebra character really gets baby moving when baby bounces up and down and spins around on it! 5 energetic songs play and when baby bounces, there's 5 fun SFX that play over the music to encourage them to keep bouncing. Fun finger activities on the handlebar with 2 'boingy' Gymtastics characters on tall springs that provide lots of visual and tactile fun, and a great clear roller ball filled with multicoloured beads has lights that dance up through it and will activate the songs if baby just wants to sit and play. A wonderful way to develop Baby's motor and recognition skills

Value for money, 21 Jun 2008
My daughter really enjoyed it while lots of people are asking me where I have found it.
Really glad I bought this!, 09 May 2008
Was a bit worried I was buying another huge bit of plastic that wouldn't be used when I bought this but it's not nearly as big as I feared - takes up only a bit more room than a child's chair. I bought this when my little girl had just turned 1 and she wasn't sure about it at all at first and couldn;t seem to get the idea of bouncing. She is now 18 months and loves it, bounces away like crazy. She doesn't use it for huge amounts of time but when she remembers and gets on she is thrilled to bits with it everytime. Has a bounce at least once a day I would say. All visiting toddlers think it's fab and it's very sturdy - has been given quite a battering in my house and still like new.

Favourite toy this Christmas, 14 Feb 2008
Bought this for my 16 month old son at Christmas. He jumped on it straight away, got the hang of it within seconds and has loved it ever since.
He (and our various visitors who all try it) must have pushed it to its limits over the last few months and it is still going strong.
It was one of our less challenging toys to put together Christmas eve and the inatructions were reasonably clear.
As long as you have a little bit of space around the toy to ensure flying legs and arms are out of harms way, this is a very safe toy. I think that my husband was a little disappointed that it didn't act like a bucking bronco and that the children had to bounce to make it work, but that is better as far as I am concerned - tire them out as much as you can!!!
Fully recommend this and have since bought another for my nephew!!
Bounce and Spin Zebra, 29 Oct 2007
My son has had this since his 1st birthday. He is now 18 months and just loves this zebra! Amazon have an amazing price on this item and I highly recommend it. I bought it from Early Learning Centre for considerably more money :( This would make a child a very nice Christmas present. It is better to spend that little bit more on one item that will be greatly used than on several items which are mostly the same and will end up at the bottom of the toy box. Highly recommended A +++
Possibly a bit big for a one year old, 29 Oct 2007
Bought this for my daughter's first birthday and her legs are too short. She's been walking for a couple of months and is pretty nimble, but when she's on the zebra she can't touch the ground unless she shifts over to one side so one foot can reach. Then she isn't balanced enough to get it to bounce properly. At the moment we are sitting her on it and holding her wrists while we bounce her to keep her central. I reckon in 3 or 4 months she'll be a better size for it. From the look on her face when we bounce her, I can see she's going to love it!!

Great toy for alert babies, 16 Aug 2008
I bought this toy for my son when he was born as he is a baby that is always awake so needs lots of stimulation. This has been one of the best buys as he loves the squeaker and the colours meant he could see it when he was a few weeks old. It also rattles and he is now able to get hold of the rings at the bottom to chew. I actually put this toy in the washing machine when it fell out of the car and it was fine - the squeaker still works. A must have for those with active babies.
Fantastic toy, 23 Jul 2008
I have bought 3 Lamaze toys for my 7 month old daughter and this one is her favourite. It is very colourful, which is typical of the Lamaze range, and has lots of crinkly bits and a button that squeaks. She is entertained for a while biting on the red teething ladybird and also likes chewing on the rings. It is a big toy and hangs well from a play gym or pram. It is a bit difficult to clean but comes up fine with a good scrub with a sponge and hot soapy water. I can't recommend these toys enough, especially Freddie the Firefly.

IN A NUTSHELL WHAT A BRILLIANT TOY.
AND THE LONG VERSION - I bought this product when it first appeared on the market. It was my eldest girls present,(who's now 5) but my 3 year old son and two year old daughter love it. It has also taken some hammering from their older cousins (6 and 7 year old boys)! All is still intact and we have wonderful games of naughty Stingo getting up to no good and the tots baking and playing. My sister in law and I thought it was a bit amusing that the older boys wanted to play too but we did decide that with all the bits and pieces you can do,(like putting the cakes in the oven and when you pull them out they have risen), there are not many boys toys out there that offer such a lot of simple working parts which stimulate the imagination so. The only thing I did do was take the cups and saucers out, as they were so tiny. Now that my youngest has got past the stage of ramming everything in her mouth, they may make an appearance.
Fifi is a star, 27 Nov 2007
It was my daughters 2nd birthday yesterday and I couldn't wait to see her face when she opened the package. She had lots of other great presents but she spent all of her time playing with this one we had trouble trying to get her to bed !!!. Definately a great toy and I think very well made with loads of features and very colourful. She really loves Fifi and the other characters and I will be getting the garden next.
Ooh, buttercups and daisies !, 18 Feb 2007
This was bought for my daughter at christmas & has been played with on a daily basis since. My daughter is only two years old but loves the cottage & has fun moving all the characters & furniture around. I removed the magic sponge & a couple of other smaller items until she is a bit bigger but there are still lots for her to play with.
The cottage is very well made & the characters are good quality. I did have a problem with Violet though, she wouldn't stand up as one of her legs was longer than the other & as I tried to squash it (silly mummy!) a bit it brooke off in my hand ! That was on christmas day but luckily a drop of superglue later & you wouldn't know anything had happened to her !
Overall this is a great buy, not too expensive & a sure hit for any Fifi fan !

I would deffo recommend you buy this!

Don't look any further, 30 Aug 2008
We bought this baby monitor after being guided by the other reviews on Amazon. I'm pleased to report that we've been equally impressed!
I won't go into tons of detail - other than to say it does everything that you would need for a newborn, plus more. Don't worry about the more expensive 150 model - the extra gadgets are overkill. The 100 does everything you need, plus a few extra bits that you might never use (the tunes it plays are a nice touch - but never used in our house).
And, we live right under the Heathrow flight path and never had a single bit of interference!
Spend your money with confidence.
In response to the breaking down comment, 26 Aug 2008

It's a pretty night light, 01 Sep 2008
I bought this product to provide me with peace of mind regarding the temperature of my baby's room. But, as the other reviews indicate, the egg consistently gives a temperature 2 or 3 degrees higher than other thermometers. This is frustrating and disappointing. It does look pretty though and makes a good little night light - but no good for peace of mind when looking at temperature!

No problems here, 20 Jul 2008
I'm not sure why so many people on Amazon have had problems as I've not had any problems with inaccurate readings or other faults with this. I have put other thermometers in the same room to test it and it's always been accurate and in sync. Not to mention that in the summer when we have the air con on it reads the same temperature as the thermostat the air con is set to. I personaly love this thermometer, it's so easy to see straight away the temperature by both the digital reading and the colour it is glowing. I've found it invaluble for making sure my baby is in comfortable temperatures and dressed and or covered up appropriately. It is a cool looking piece that looks good in any room. It glows blue when the room is too cold (below 16'C with a digital display of a sad face) yellow when it's just right (16'-20'C with a display of a happy, smiley face), orange when it's warm (21'-23'C) and red when the room is too hot (over 24'C and a digital display of a sad face). The literature the thermometer comes with gives detailed info on the correct clothes and bedding baby should be in depending on the temperature of the room. It's compact, well made and I've never had any faults with it and I've had mine a year now. I also want to add in response to people saying it can't be accurate because it has a light on it that that is total nonsense because it's an LED light which as most people know, do not give off heat. I've had this plugged in since I got it and it has never, ever gotten hot. It is always cool to the touch so please do not think this interferes with an accurate reading! I don't think it takes much common sense to work out that whoever designed this would have taken that into consideration. In any case, I'd highly recommend this thermometer and I'm very pleased with it.
Always wrong, 07 Jul 2008
Like other reviewers, I have found this very unreliable, reading approximately 5C higher than it really is. Clearly calibration / quality control is lacking. Avoid.
Who designed this useless object? , 02 Jul 2008
As many other reviews indicate, the thermometer is inacurate by about 2 degrees. I have 4 thermometers on various baby accessories all reading the same by +/- 0.3. I have 2 eggs, one at home and one at the grandparents. Both eggs are wrong.
Dare i say why, well light gives of heat so whats the most stupid thing you can do? stick a damn light on a thermometer!
Am i worrying too much or is this a tad dangerous?

Katie's friend Emily, 02 Jun 2008
I bought this dolly for my daughter Katie who was at the time just two months ols but is now four months and she absolutely loves her! Emily is well loved and chewed almost everyday. The teething rings are a blessing and when we eventually found the squeak Katie would not let her go. Purcahse with confindence your baby will love it too!
A wonderful friend, 28 Feb 2008
I have just bought this for my 9 month old daughter and she hasn't wanted to put it down since. She loves the textures and crinkle sounds that it makes. She also enjoys playing with the rattely 'necklace' it is wearing (don't worry, not a real one that comes off or poses any danger). The rings on it are also good for a teething child.
My main reason for purchasing this was that I wanted something I could attach to her buggy after having already lost one dolly and nearly loosing a teddy. It is perfect for this and the other good bits are a bonus.

Does exactly what it should, 19 Feb 2006
It works and saves on batteries, exactly what it should do.
What an excellent toy, 02 Aug 2008
Its great!!!, 30 Aug 2006
I really liked this product, i brought it for my cousin and she gets great pleasure out of it and its her favourtire toy of all time she quotes.
I really like the design, it is very much to my taste as i myself really like the stories of Fifi and bumble so have great times helping my cousin to play with it.
I would deffo recommend you buy this!
Lovely for your little one, 23 Jun 2006
I bought this recently for my daughter and it is delightful. She loves all the little characters and there's lots for her to explore.
It does look pretty though and makes a good little night light - but no good for peace of mind when looking at temperature!
don't buy it save the money, 31 Jul 2008
don't buy it is save your money and use the free one in the mother and baby packs
Am i worrying too much or is this a tad dangerous?
a real hit with the baby, 03 Sep 2008
This doll has a rattle and a teathing toy attatched. I bought one for my neice at 4 months and one for my friends girl at 12 months. both love it. much better value then ones bouth from mother care elc........ it is reasuring that the packaging clearly displays the safety checks and standards
Another good quality product from Lamaze
a great little set, 31 Aug 2007
I bought this toy as i was looking for something a bit different from the whoozit type soft toys for my 8 month old. It has not disappointed. The 6 bugs are all brightly coloured with various legs, wings etc for little ones to grab hold of. They each contain a magnet which not only enables them to stick together in a totem pole effect but also produces a not too loud rattle in each one. They are neither too heavy nor too big for the littlest hands to pick up and they will love knocking down the towers that you have carefully constructed as well as banging pairs together and ultimately building their own towers, naming the bugs, learning colours etc. My only, very small criticism is that i assume one of the bugs to be a spider but it only has 6 legs! and a challenge to parents - can you stack all 6 together? very tricky even without interference form small hands!
