This is one of the worst pieces of plastic 'tat' that I have ever come across. The cake mixes are revolting and the icing is even worse. When you try and fill the icing tube it goes all over the place, when you put it in the machine it just comes out in a big splodgy mess. I can't wait to get rid of it.
The worst thing is that I bet all of these will end up in landfill somewhere.
If you have not already been duped - DO NOT buy one!!
Cup cake maker as bad as the cakes it makes, 25 Nov 2008
This is without a shadow of a doubt one of the worst products my daughter has ever received. She nagged she wanted it for her birthday so an auntie duly bought one. We were really excited and opened it the same day to make the cakes. Only 4 cup cake mixes are included and I cannot begin to tell you what disgusting gloop and foul tasting things its makes. My daughter doesn't even like icing so the machine bit was not used. an absolute rip off of a product that is as much fun as watching the proverbial paint dry. DO NOT BUY even if your child begs and pleads forever. Absolute tat!! Uch a fi (Welsh for really nasty, horrid. I think you get the idea)
Really disappointing, 22 Nov 2008
My girls couldn't wait to use this so we waited until we had a spare Saturday afternoon and then set to work.
The mixes make the most disgusting cakes you can imagine. We decided to ice one anyway. The icing came out in a big puddle and the cake flew out and landed upside down on the kitchen side. It was very funny at the time but the girls were left very disappointed as the cupcake maker was put back into its box, never to be used again.
A truly ridiculous toy.
Cup Cake delight!, 12 Nov 2008
I decided to buy the cup cake maker for my neice and i have to say she loved it! I also have to add that I enjoyed making the cup cakes with her.
Once we had made the mix, we put the cup cakes into the microwave and then she deisgned the icing and swirls herself. She decided to make a cup cake for her mum and dad, and iced both cakes differently.
Mum and dad loved the cakes, and now she thinks she is going to be the next Delia Smith!!!!!
Great value, great product. More of the same please!
Absolute Rubbish, 31 Oct 2008
This is without a doubt the worst product i have ever bought for my children. For £23.00 you would expect it at least to have a decent supply of cupcake mixes....not so. You get 4. That's it....4.
It's also, technically, NOT a cupcake maker, you put it in the microwave and the actual machine is an icing machine.
So apart from the fact you only get 4 cupcake mixes, they are also noticably smaller than on the adverts.
Secondly, we cooked ours for the 30 seconds it tells you....didn't cook. Cooked it some more, but quickly realised that it wasn't looking any better.
So with a really bad looking cupcake, we thought at least the icing machine would fare better.
No, it didn't. It doesn't come out right, it spins back round with no warning, meaning that the icing goes all over the place instead of a nice swirl.
All in all, a terrible product. I've never written a review before and after having 4 children, i have bought more than my fair share of rubbish toys. But never have i felt compelled to write before buying this.
As the title says...absolute rubbish. Don't buy it

Lovely house, 23 Oct 2008
I bought this house for my daughter last december for her 2nd birthday and I don't think a day has gone by when she hasn't played in it. It is beautiful and hardwearing and she is deperate to have the kitchen and 'sofa' and often invites friends round for a 'cuppa tea and a slice of cake'.
A Lovely PlayHouse, 24 Aug 2008
I purchased the playhouse for my daughter, who has been enthralled with it from last year. Knowing that children sometimes beg for an expensive product then loose interest, caused me to be cautious before purchasing it.
I would say the quality of the product is very good. It has a metal frame and strong covering. The cooker which came with it, slots together. It does appear to be fairy sturdy, with careful play it should be fine. Though it would make me think twice before buying the other pieces of furniture as I presume they are made of the same material.
All in all I think it is a great product and has made two little girls (6 and 5) very happy.
It's a must have buy, 19 Aug 2008
Rose Petal Cottage is not just lovely to look at it is hardwearing, easy to manouvre and my 3 year old daughter and her friends play in it for hours, as do her two older brothers (5&7) although they would not admit to this! I have the accessories and disagree that they are not hardwearing - they are not cardboard but a type of plywood covered in a hard laminate and so far have been very durable - they are easy to assemble and have withstood lots of rough and tumble and a move from Germany to the UK. I intend to buy the shop and accessories for Christmas and hope I am as pleased with these products as I am with the Dream House ones.
Great fun for everyone, 05 Dec 2007
My 6 year old daughter was given this as a present, I thought it might have been a bit young for her but she has had great fun in it. It's been great to see her playing with her (rough and tumble) 3 year old brother-a great space for imaginative play where they seem to be in their own world. The house is well made and easy to store as one side neatly fits into the other. I would agree though that the accessories are expensive and not of great quality.
Poor quality of accessories and construction, 02 Dec 2007
Accessories seem to be made out of cardboard and are expensive, given the poor quality. I doubt this will stand up to much use and the house itself is a bit small for them to actually play inside. Lots of marketing but could be disappointing...

After reading the one and only review for this toy plus the manufacturs description of what it does i thought this would be great for my sons 7th birthday. However the wrestlers do not bounce off the mat they just lie there . I was very dissapointed with this toy. Maybe I have been sold a dud but the manufacturer should not claim that the wrestlers bounce off the mat when they dont.
REALLY good, 12 Feb 2006
This toy is amazing it has a bounce mat which is the centre of the ring and it bounces it is quite small and you can only fit about 4 wwe toys in the ring but it is stll really really good and very fun to play with and it is quite cheap of amazon for it.

Kids love it, shame about the poor build quality, 15 Nov 2008
25-ish years ago, I used to love toy replicas of my mum's real domestic appliances made by Casdon. And 25 years on there is no doubt about it: kids ADORE this toy replica of the commercial/domestic Numatic 'Henry'. Even kids who are petrified of real vaccuums! From the moment I bought this, this has been one of the most popular toys with both my kids and their friends. The children wander round, happily vaccuuming the floor (with or without batteries), pulling or carrying 'Henry' along with them.
Unfortunately, the popularity of the toy is diminished by the poor build quality and some really daft design features. The 'body' and 'hat' of this toy Henry, though not what I'd call particularly solid, seem to be reasonably robust. However this is as far as it goes. The rest of the toy is poorly designed, poorly made and pieces are far too easily broken, damaged or lost.
The 'hose' is made from very thin plastic which damages easily, and the 'extension tube' and 'foot' don't attach to the hose well. These fall off easily and young children often need help putting them back. But probably the worst features of the toy Henry are the lead for the 'plug' and the magnetic winding mechanism on the 'hat' top.
The 'lead' for the toy Henry has been designed to conform to safety standards... and is made to break apart in the event that a child should put it around their neck. Whilst this is a good feature for safety, the narrow and fiddly design means that children will FREQUENTLY be applying to you to repair the cable on their toy - which breaks into several sections, including one which needs to be threaded through a hole in Henry's 'hat', none of which preschool-aged children have much chance of being able to repair for themselves.
The final problem with this Henry toy is the winding mechanism attached to the top of the 'hat'. The top plate for the winding mechanism is not permanently fixed, but instead attaches by means of small magnetic components (which merit a fairly scary safety notice on a slip of paper enclosed with the product re. the dangers of a child swallowing these). The magnetic fixings are necessary ONLY because of the design of the break-apart lead... and both problems could readily be fixed by changes to the design of this toy.
The easiest way Casdon could remedy the problem would be to eliminate the 'lead and plug' element altogether, and replace the detachable winding mechanism with a permanently fixed one (without actual function). This would only arguably reduce the 'realism' of the product: since electrical cables such as that being replicated here DO NOT fall apart! I would happily live without a suction cup in order not to be re-threading (or hunting for) sections of the cable every few minutes...
If the manufacturer were looking for a creative way around a safety dilemma, they could introduce a construction toy element to 'Henry', with perhaps an unscrewable winding mechanism and a fatter click-together cable that children could learn to put together with a bit of support. This might lack verisimilitude (but so does a pull-apart lead!), but would add educational value without diminishing safety. I know which I'd be happier to pay for!
Fell apart!!!, 15 Nov 2008
My little boy loves 'Henry', so thought this would be great buy.
PROS:
Makes noise and really sucks up small/light paper etc..
CONS:
Item falls apart after a number of weeks e.g. Hose/tubes, cord rewind, and head.(superglue can't really fix)
DO NOT BUY...YOU WILL REGRET IT...
Well-used and still going strong, 14 Sep 2008
My daughter (aged 4/5) chose this because she loved the Henry Hoover in a holiday home. Both she and her 2 year old sister have played with it frequently for over 18 months without it becoming broken or at all damaged. The dustpan and brush slotted inside Henry's head makes a great play along addition. Little Henry's suction isn't that strong (still on the original set of batteries, though!) but he makes a gentle humming noise and the girls happily accompany me around the house while I'm hoovering.
I'm sorry other reviewers' kids may have been tougher on their Henry toys, but ours has lasted well and is well-loved. Happy to recommend Little Henry.
My Kids Favourite, 04 May 2008
I bought this little vacuum for my son's 1st birthday and he loves Henry ever since. It really picks up small dirt and it isn't very noisy. Ok, the tubes come apart easily, but that's the only criticism I have. My 3 year old daughter fights with her brother to play with Henry almost very day. Happy play time.
Very disappointed little girl, 14 Jan 2008
I agree totally with the only other review that the durability was nil and not fit for purpose.. It was very
disappointing to buy a Christmas present for our grand daughter, who loved following me
around with her Little Henry, only to find it lasted 2-days as the hose was not
man enough for the job. Also my email to Casdon never received a reply so I will not
purchase from them EVER AGAIN.

Lots of marketing but could be disappointing...
doent do what supposed to, 26 Jul 2008
A beautiful toy!, 12 Nov 2008
I ordered this toy from Little Nut tree toys, delivery was very prompt. Included, was a discount voucher for further purchases which I thought was a nice touch. The toy itself is really beautiful - like something from an Enid Blyton book! Sturdy and well made with lovely vibrant colours. Well worth the money compared to plastic toys.
One of my bestsellers!, 19 Jul 2008
I manage The Learning Tree in Pontcanna in Cardiff and I only recently took on the Honeybake range. I started with this Baking Set and I was thrilled when it sold out in under two weeks.
I've had one set on display now and I think over half the children that come through end up touching it and remarking on it. I re-ordered (along with the Oven & Hob Set too) and sold out again. I'm now ordering in double quantities to keep all my customers satisfied.
Such high-quality and obvious appeal make this a wonderful gift at a very resonable price for what you get. It's wonderful to have such great products that are well designed, obviously loved by the children and have parents asking others "Where did you get that?".

Think you should try it for yourself, 15 Nov 2008
My 9 year old son got this for his Birthday and loved it. It took him a while to build though isn't this the whole idea of mega bloks that children work at their own pace?? I would hate to spend £20 on this and he builds it in under an hour especially since it is not like a younger set where they will break it up a week later and build again at a later stage. Once these are built then he puts on a shelf alongside other vehicles built. Takes them away from TV and consoles for a while!! Would not recommend it for under 8year olds and this is why on the box it does state 8 plus due to the size of some of the pieces.
Also bought it for my 18year old nephew when he noticed my son had it and he loved it also and built it in 5hrs and now has it displayed in his room.
Positive review and no issues from a 9yr old and 18yr old.
Poorly manufactured. Load of rubbish., 12 Oct 2008
Agree with everything the first reviewer said. We normally only buy Lego, but as my son is a Lewis Hamilton fan we decided to go for this cheaper product.
Although the standard lego style bricks go together ok, the pieces designed specifically for this model are so poorly manufactured that the model is impossible to build. If I can find my receipt (actually bought from Woolworths) I will try to obtain a refund.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
Avoid at all costs., 01 Jun 2008
Cards on the table - I did not purchase this toy from Amazon, but I feel compelled to spread the word on how poor this toy is.
I've never written an online review before, so that should help quantify the level of disappointment that I feel about MegaBloks.
My son is four and a half years old and a big F1 McLaren fan. Lewis Hamilton is his hero.
This product is rated for 8 year olds, but my boy has successfully built a number of 8 - 12 year old Lego sets with minimal assistance.
After the initial joy of the excellent metal presentation tin, the disappointment that followed was crushing.
First off, this is NOT Lego. There is a reason that Lego is more expensive - it is much better designed and made. The plastic quality of MegaBloks is CHEAP. Oh well, not the end of the world. My son is four - he won't care.
Next up, stickers. The stickers provided are placed on after construction and stretch across multiple bricks - so you can't take the model apart without spoiling the stickers. Poor design, but we can live with that - he'll probably want to play with this set as a F1 car and not as a "building set".
BUT the final problem is the show-stopper. The pieces are so badly moulded that they do not fit together!!! Watching my son struggle to work with some of the "Bloks", I realised that he would need more help than with Lego and put this down to the poor plastic quality. However, when we got to using the four wheel struts (a custom piece designed for this set) I found that even I couldn't put it together. A moulding defect on three of the pieces meant that they would not lie flush with the other bricks. The model COULD NOT BE COMPLETED. Not by a 4 year old, not by an 8 year old, not by a 32 year old man. Upon closer inspection, the moulding defects are obvious and clearly mean that they will not fit together properly as shown in the instructions.
I could probably correct the defects with a Stanley knife and a file, but there is a danger that I will break the pieces. I'm not going to bother - I'm going back to the store to ask for a refund.
My advice? Think building bricks, think Lego. More expensive, but better value. The only shame is that Lego have a number of Ferrari-endorsed F1 kits, but no McLaren.
Now I need to make this fiasco up to my son.

Lots of marketing but could be disappointing...
doent do what supposed to, 26 Jul 2008
Dont Bother, 18 Oct 2008
My son was really excited about getting this toy before his birthday but ultimately he has been disappointed. The quality of the product is poor considering the price - the worst thing being the roof which is ill fitting and made of cardboard. Any pressure on it and it caves in, not much good when this is the helipad.
