Product Description
Thomas Bath Island is the offical Number 1 bath toy! Bath time is so much fun with Thomas! Launch Thomas down the ramp, scoop up water with Bulstrode, pour water into the tower to make the wheel spin and create bubbles from the chimney of the house! There is so much to do on Bath Island that kids will never want to get out of the bath! Secures to the side of the bath with the suction cups.Splash around at bath time with Thomas the Tank engine and the Thomas Bath Island. Suitable for children from two years old, this bath toy is a bright and cheerful hive of activity. The feature that will undoubtedly be the favourite of your little bather is Thomas on his slippery track down into the water. Sit Thomas on the mouth of the tunnel, press down on the little red signal and watch Thomas launch himself down his track. Other fun aquatic features include a spinning windmill and a water tower with attached spinning wheel for some good scope and pouring fun. The whole island attaches to the bath with two suction cups, and just to ensure that Thomas knows what to do in water, his friend Bulstrode the tugboat is included to show him the way. A good bath toy that all Thomas fans will enjoy, this is suitable for children aged 2 to 5 years old. --Victoria Mackenzie

A good buy, 16 Nov 2008
My boys love this toy. They have had loads of fun over the last couple of years getting Thomas to slide down the ramp and pouring water over the water wheel. It's their favourite bath toy.
We haven't had problems with it sticking, but it can slide as it's quite heavy. If the water isn't too deep it's fine.
Makes bathtime fun, 29 Jun 2008
My little boy is 2 and loves this in the bath. Putting things down the slide and using a jug to pour water in the top and making the wheel go round.
Bathtime is Fun again!, 12 Jun 2008
WE bought this toy as a last ditch attempt to get our toddler back in the bath without him screaming. It worked!!
The Bath Island captivated him, lept him occupied while i washed him and helped make bathtime fun again.
The only little complaint is that when you fill the watertub it kept sliding down on that side, but it wasn't too much of a problem.
Makes bathtime fun, 26 Dec 2007
My kids love this toy and it makes them want to take a bath, which is always a good thing. We have had no problem with it sticking to the tub. The downside is the slide--it falls off if you just look at it. The kids give up and just launch the train and boat without the slide! They love the bubble maker and the water wheel, though.
Buy it only if it is on sale and you have a big Thomas fan.
A bad purchase, 01 Dec 2007
My son loves Thomas, so I bought him this bath toy. Problem number 1, it doesn't stick to the bath. Even when it does, for a few minutes at a time, it suddenly collapses, or the slide doesn't work properly. I would NOT recommend it.

My daughter had this house brought for her birthday and loves it. The walls that fold down are a little flimsy but the items inside are of good quality. As the other reviews have stated 'the is not electronic', so don't expect switches or noises to work. The product description needs to be altered as its misleading.
Poor, 03 Nov 2008
Electronic it is not - batteries at the ready? No batteries required. I searched high and low for a switch, went through the instructions and was extremely disappointed when I clocked it wasn't electronic at all. My daughter was equally disappointed. Please lose ELECTRONIC out of the description.
It is not electronic !, 14 Oct 2008
More robust than the original house and better designed but you will not require any batteries as it is not electronic. Its a plastic house with plastic characters but just redesigned, no elecronic sounds or noises(maybe ELECTRONIC should be removed from description so not to be misleading or false advertising)

great playtime in the bath, 17 Nov 2008
my 7 month old daughter is just getting into play in the bath, she can now sit unaided out of the bath and loves to play with toys in th bath. the toys are a little small, but ideal for her hands... just fun to see her enjoying bathtime even more. Well worth the buy
Disastrous design - but toddlers love it!, 30 Oct 2008
My toddler finds this toy hugely entertaining in the bath - but I can't for the life of me understand why!
Good Points - It's Teletubbies (need I say more?) and the figures are practically indestructible. The hat makes a lovely pouring jug and there's endless fun to be had dropping the figures into the centre of the island and watching them come out again - at least for a two-year old.
Bad Points - Floats (barely) with the flowers semi-submerged so the 'opening' effect is completely lost. It takes up a lot of space in and out of the bath. Teletubbies don't slide down the slide and the windmill comes out of its bracket very easily.
Verdict - Entertains most children but a lot to pay for four figures and a plastic hat, which are the bits that get most use. There are better things to spend your money on.
That Sinking Feeling..., 21 Oct 2008
The fact is that this Island does not stay above the water and lists to one side almost as soon as it hits the water.
The characters do not slide down the slide.
The flowers get water-logged straight away.
Basically I would say spend your money on something more stable!
It sinks in seconds!, 04 Sep 2008
If it wasn't for the fact my little girl loves the teletubby characters that come with this toy, I would have sent this back within 5 minutes of it being in the bath. It sinks almost immediately. This is unsurprising as there are two slit holes either side of the base which just let the water flood in. Crazy!
We also bought another bath toy at the same time which has no holes and of course doesn't sink! What a surprise!
Now this island is just in the way and annoys me everytime I see it!!
Doesn't do what it says on the tin...., 08 Jul 2008
My son likes holding and eating the teletubby figures. However, this is where the fun ends. The island sinks without much difficulty, the flowers do not move when you water the garden as stated and the middle is continually coming off without any help. As someone else added, the slide is a tad non slippy!
Save your money and buy another sturdier, cheaper model unless your child loves Teletubbies.

It is a really great toy and thankfully has special water drainage holes so no water gets stuck inside. Well done WOW Toys I now have a clean toddler every day.

Fantastic toy in and out of bath, 01 Dec 2008
My 16 month old daughter loves this slide. We don't bother with batteries and simply use it as a slide.
The smaller slide can be removed if you want which we did at first to make it easier for Amy to use. Its also just the right size for her happy land people so she also uses it during the day as a slide for them (with the house end balanced on some books or something of the right height).
One of the best things I've bought and I'm sure it'll keep her amuzed for years to come.
My Son Loves It!!!, 30 Jan 2008
My Son is 22months and he was bought this off of a family member at xmas. He loves it. Its a great bath toy!
Our one year old loves it, 11 Dec 2007
My 12-month old loves this. The first time we put it in the bath, he kept laughing when the penguins jumped off the slide into the water. Now, 2 weeks later, he can put the penguins on the slide himself (after about 10 tries --which he greatly enjoys) and gets so excited when he manages. His 7- and 5-year-old sisters love playing with it too.

WATCH OUT FOR THE PAINT ON FELIX!, 05 Oct 2007
We have had this toy since last Christmas and the paint on Felix comes off quite easily. Apart from that it is a fun toy but make sure you get all the water out of it after bath time or it starts to go a bit mouldy.
My son would not get out of the bath!, 22 Sep 2006
My 26 month old son was never very keen on daily routine bath times and when we bought the Felix boat bath toy for him as a treat we could never of imagined that he now enjoys being in the bath so much that we cannot get him out.
Great fun for everyone!, 24 Sep 2008
We bought this for our 8 month old son and it's great! The turtle swims up and down the bath, and sings/hums a tune. Turn the turtle over & he continues to gargle away under water. Obviously our son is too young to be able to operate it himself but then that's what parents are for! We're really pleased with it, and are already planning to buy it for other babies & children we know.

Not electronic, 13 Nov 2008

Splashtastic fun for little hands, 16 Jul 2008
This was a present for my 1 year old son who loves Thomas. The engines are great for little hands and he loves taking them out of the shed. As you can see they are really only the front of the engine so don't expect a regular long train, but at 12 months my son doesn't mind! Each train has a different pouring feature which can be a bit hit and miss, but they are colourful, sterdy and fun. The main game is taking them out of the shed, chucking them in the water (or across the bathroom) and waiting for mum to put them back in the shed! Great for little ones, could be boring for older kids.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago, to make bathtime a bit more interesting for my 5 month old and we love it! If I'm honest mum and dad love it more than the baby, and can be heard humming his tune long after bathtime is over!! It's a real fun happy hippo, but could do with having a bit more power behind him!!
Tomy Hippo Pedalo, 15 May 2008
My son got this as a present for Christmas and he loved it. The singing (and pedalling) kept him highly entertained, although the "propulsion" around the bath left a lot to be desired.
Within a few weeks Hippo stopped working and we cant get him to work again even though we have replaced the batteries, let him dry out etc. (I think once the battery compartment has been opened the toy is no longer water tight which is pretty poor?).

Test, 13 Sep 2007
Testing the review of this page. Want to make sure that its working or not. This seems like a good product.
Love it!, 08 Oct 2008
Good for eczema sufferers, 15 Nov 2008
My (nearly) 3 yr old suffers from eczema so we have to use bath emollient. The problem there is that all bath toys end up with a layer of gunk on that grows mold. This boat set has proved itself (a) great fun to play with and (b) easy to clean. I don't know what the decals were put on with but I've disinfected this boat in a bucket of Milton's sterilizing solution several times now and they are still as good as new. Happy mummy, happy 3 year old. Excellent toy.
Excellent bath toy, 24 Sep 2008
Bought this for my two year old sons birthday. He absolutely loves it. Really nice bath boat toy which is surprising unusual. He hates having to get out of the bath now!!
Excellent bath toy, 29 Jun 2008
I've spent ages looking for a decent bath toy. Bought this for my 3 year old boy. It's brilliant, so many features in one small toy. All works perfectly so none of those frustrated toddler grumbles we get with so many other toys.
A geat bath toy, really packs in the fun, 22 May 2008
I always wonder why there are so few bath toys on the market. Boats are a staple of the bath-time fun but this is probably the best one I've come across. The boat has two people, a dolphin, and a removable diving platform. The boat flips open to reveal a lower deck with a fishing area. The diving platform can sit in this, although my children usually have it on the side of the bath. The platform is great, you place on of the people on it, push a satisfying little button and the figure dives brilliantly. A lot of these sort of toys just don't live up to expectations (remember the "diving" man from the old Mousetrap game - did anyone ever get him to dive successfully?). The boat also doubles as a jug which pours water from a spout at the prow.
With the wealth of detail to explore it keeps my 2 year old entertained. The combination of characters and sticker pictures on the boat gives my 4 year old plenty of scope for his imagination to build narratives with.
A great long lasting toy. Highly recommended.
